Also invited to interview! I was worried they had forgotten about me (went complete 11/8). Has everyone who has interviewed been accepted?

The interview was definitely low pressure and a nice informal way to convey "why WUSTL" on both sides. How long did most people wait between interview and acceptance generally?

I interviewed on a Tuesday and received an email that Friday, so a very quick turnaround.HYSenberg wrote:The interview was definitely low pressure and a nice informal way to convey "why WUSTL" on both sides. How long did most people wait between interview and acceptance generally?

No. As far as I know, nobody has gotten money info at the same time. That all comes later. I haven't gotten money info at all yet. A few people have gotten scholarship offers, but I think they only started coming out yesterday (someone correct me if I'm wrong?)HYSenberg wrote:Did you get $$ info at the same time as your acceptance? And thank you! I'm sure congratulations will be in order for you soon!!!

Congrats to everyone, and good luck to those still waiting. It's a marathon, so nothing's over till it's over. Again, feel free to PM any of us if you have questions about the school

It's been almost 3 weeks since my interview and I haven't heard anything from WUSTL.
I thought it went really well too, the interviewer really sold me on WUSTL.

Don't be discouraged, part of that 3 week span was a holiday, and my interviewer in the admissions office told me just before thanksgiving that they were backed up. Applications to WUSTL might actually have gone up because they have been generous with scholarships lately too. I know the waiting sucks but 3 weeks or more to hear back doesn't mean anything with respect to in/WL/out. Our even what scholarship you may get for that matter.str8yolked wrote:It's been almost 3 weeks since my interview and I haven't heard anything from WUSTL.

I haven't heard anything in more than three weeks. Wondering if/when I will get invited to interview.

The admissions office is only a handful of people and they're probably swamped with apps like most schools. Also since they're apparently giving out some scholarship decisions now, they have to evaluate applications and make scholly decisions at the same time, just adding to the workload. Don't worry about the delay, just try to enjoy the holidays lol.
Also, i'm just saying this ahead of time, but if you get low-balled from WashU in terms of scholly, don't write them off just yet. The school is generous, but it can't afford to be generous to everyone. Part of the equation is prioritizing applicants that are likely to matriculate. They're not gonna waste funds making huge offers to a cohort of kids that are clearly going to HYS when they could give those offers to students who are closer to the medians and who are genuinely interested and likely to attend. So if you get low-balled, just wait it out until ppl drop out after the deposit deadlines and continue to negotiate and express interest. (When I say low-balled, i mean genuinely low-balled. Like you were 170+ but only got 45k. Not like "wtf i should have gotten a full ride and only got 105k")
Patience is a huge part of the game.

Did your interviewer tell you anything about a time table to expect during your interview? I just completed my interview today and she told me that I could probably expect a decision "soon" because the admissions committee is meeting almost every day now.str8yolked wrote:It's been almost 3 weeks since my interview and I haven't heard anything from WUSTL.

Nope, nothing about when I should expect a decision. I think it might be because I'm an extreme splitter, below 25th GPA and 17x LSAT.kgiaco wrote:Did your interviewer tell you anything about a time table to expect during your interview? Just got an email saying my application is now under review. How long after getting the email did it take to hear back on a decision or interview? Just curious.... Thanks!

Just an fyi to anyone visiting if you're arriving by plane, you can take the Metro to the Forest Park stop, then switch to a westbound train that'll take you right near the law school, if you want to save rental car money, and only plan on visiting the school then getting the hell outta Dodge.

Was curious about this as well. Has anyone who interviewed been denied?Winston1984 wrote:Also invited to interview! I was worried they had forgotten about me (went complete 11/8). Has everyone who has interviewed been accepted?
Was invited to interview this past week so I am cautiously optimistic.
Good luck everyone!
