Did anyone else get an email from NYU this AM about the Furman Public Policy Scholarship Program? I assumed I got it either b/c they are emailing all applicants about it, or because I applied for all of NYU's public interest scholarships.

I got it as well - I'm assuming that you can't apply if you've already sent in your app? The full scholly would sure be nice...

I bet you could still write the additional essay and then email it to them before the January deadline, even if you have already submitted your application.

This seems like some type of error. The language obviously seems directed someone who has decided to matriculate to NYU. If someone can confirm that they do not have this message on their status checker, then it may be more likely to imply admission for those of us who do have the message.

I've got it also! ......terribly confused. seems like a mistake, b/c it sounds like a message that someone who is matriculating would get (i.e. we have received all the necessary documentation you must submit before enrolling).

Status is the same. UR with the same date as yesterday. There's just a new message across the top that says "We're delighted that you are joining NYU Law! Below you can monitor when we have received the required documents that you must submit before enrolling."

I called the Admissions Office--they said no one had called them about the issue and thanked me for alerting them. She said that no admissions notifications had been issued, but that notifications would be coming soon. She didn't think she was allowed to say much beyond that. She said they would look into the issue further; it does seem to be some sort of glitch. That being said, I am choosing to be optimistic about it....

Edit: and now the message has mysteriously disappeared from the status checker. My neurotic law school applicant freakout of the day has come to an end!
