Just got in with a considerable scholarship. I still don't know if I can afford it, and might stick with my original plan of taking a year off and reapplying, but it looks I have some serious thinking to do! Exciting!

I just got an e-mail saying they have extra spots and want to gauge my interest in attending the school - anyone else get this? It didn't have any specific info and said they'll get back to me asap, but definitely by the end of the month.

There were two different emails? Mine did not mention that there were more deposits made then seats available in the class.... they said a few spots would be open

I hope this email finds you well and enjoying the start of summer. I’m writing today to once again update you on Georgetown’s wait list situation.

As you know, yesterday was our second deposit deadline. Although the response to this deadline was very strong, it is possible that we may have a few spaces in the incoming class. Now that our deposit deadline has passed, it’s a new ballgame and we will be looking closely again at those still waiting to hear from us.

Although I know we’ve been in touch with many of you very recently, the Committee asked me to reach out to you to once again. Even if you have already been in touch with us, it would be helpful if you would respond to this email at admis@law.georgetown.edu as soon as possible to let us know if you are still interested in attending Georgetown and how likely you are to accept an offer if a seat becomes available. Please note that if spaces do become available, there will be a short time frame for you to make your enrollment decision.

As always, I thank you for your patience and interest in Georgetown and wish you a terrific summer. We will be in touch as soon as we have any news, but promise you an update no later than July 1st.

Kind of a shitty rejection letter, huh? I'd have rather it just come out and said they were still keeping up the waitlist but they didn't want to keep me on it. Instead they make it seem like there are no spots left at all...

As you know, yesterday was our second deposit deadline. The response to this deadline was very strong, and, consequently, the Committee on Admissions will not be able to offer you admission to Georgetown University Law Center this fall. Your placement on the Waiting List reflected our confidence in the strength of your application. At this time, however, we have received deposits from more applicants than we have seats available in the first year class. Consequently, we are unable to extend an offer of admission to you this year.

We appreciate your interest in our program and wish you success in your future endeavors.

Lmao!!! Wow!!! I got the one asking to express my interest and reply by July 1st. Should I cite TLS and this e-mail in my response and say "I am still interested in Georgetown but I am a bit concerned with the disingenuous e-mail that was sent out to those who were released from the waitlist claiming the class is overenrolled. Mind resolving this paradox for me?"

what's interesting is that some of those who were released have higher numbers than those who kept on the WL....I wonder what they are basing this off of.
