Man - so exciting!

I'm still awaiting finaid info so I know whether to attend the SLS ASW or UChi's. I wish I could say I love the suspense . . . but alas, it is not so.

Just booked my flight. Very excited! I have to fly out of an airport that's four hours away instead of my local airport, but it saves me about $200, so I can't complain.

Haha I'm with you. I just got my HLS one and I'm hoping SLS can help me out a little more haha. I though faye said they were supposed to start going out last week, no?

That's what she told me... I don't understand all these delays. Seems like this year's cycle is moving slow motion.

J.D.M.A. and J.D./Ph.D. Programs
The J.D./M.A. and J.D./Ph.D. degree programs are designed for students who wish to prepare themselves intensively for careers in areas relating to both law and economics. Student interested in either joint degree program must apply and gain entrance separately to the School of Law and the Department of Economics and, as an additional step, must secure permission from both academic units to pursue degrees in those units as part of a joint degree program. Interest in either joint degree program should be noted on the student's admission applications and may be considered by the admission committee of each program. Alternatively, an enrolled student in either the Law School or the Economics Department may apply for admission to the other program and for joint degree status in both academic units after commencing study in either program.

This doesn't indicate if it's an easier or not to get in to the Econ Dept after you're enrolled. I'm going to actively be asking about this during ASW. If anyone gets any additional information in the meantime, please pm me!
One of the panel discussions is on joint degrees (although I think you have to skip the career services and financial aid panels for it) - so hopefully they will have all the answers for us there!

I just excitedly opened a letter from the Office of Admissions and Financial Aid. I thought maybe SLS had changed things up this year and was sending scholarship info through the mail...

Nope. They mailed me a copy of a magazine called the Stanford Lawyer.

There isn't a confirmed aid package by a TLS user, someone's friend said they got one, but who knows how they got or if there was just some sort of miscommunication.

She got it via email, but she's also been in touch with the finaid office because of other exploding offers, so I guess they sent hers early?

Didn't mean to get hopes up, guys. I thought they'd roll them out throughout the day.

I just got my financial aid offer via email. I am so confused...it is so different from my one from Yale.

Can you expand on that? Better, worse?

Seriously? What are you waiting for?

Now there's a charge.
