Yep. I was waitlisted (168/2.8; application complete in mid-January) today, and LSN indicates there were a lot of others too.

Hey guys, just chiming in here. I had a 160/3.82, OOS and I was accepted back in December. Not a URM or anything. Don't lose hope! Also was wondering if any other accepted students have put down their seat deposits? I just put mine down. I plan on attending in the fall and wanted to see if any other students planning on attending want to resurrect the old "UNC law student taking questions" thread so we can harass the current 1Ls for advice?

The whole point of a legal education is to learn how to more adequately harass people...why not start a little early

By resurrecting the thread do you mean just posting questions on it and hoping someone logs on to answer them or do you have a more active plan in mind?

A quick question for others on the waitlist. Does anyone know when they send out the email with the form to indicate we want to be on the waitlist? I haven't gotten anything yet and "soon" is so vague. Thanks!

I haven't gotten the email yet either. Not too concerned though. Their relaxed pace is something I'm accustomed to.

Would terribly like to attend, as I know you would.

Thanks for your response. Even though I have lived in the south for a few years now, my NYC pace of life sometimes still takes over.

I was thinking we could post on there asking for a current 1L to answer some questions...perhaps one of the students will get a notification email and decide to oblige us?

yeah - i think UNC has a bit of a reputation for letting people languish on the waitlist forever....
that's the price you pay for trying to go to the state's flagship school i suppose

Waitlisters--there's hope. I'm a 2L at UNC and was waitlisted around this time when I applied (in November of that year), but I rode it out and was admitted the last week of July. It sucks, but hang in there til they get desperate haha. Also willing to answer questions here if y'all want.
