I would imagine that nothing is going to happen until Yale's general admin offices come out of recess, which is Wednesday.

What do people think of sending an updated transcript? Not a game changer, just another semester of solid grades. Would it go straight to YLS or to LSAC?

That's no fun.edgeofthenight wrote:So, I'm a long-shot of an applicant, but I keep having a heart attack every single time I see a 203 number that I don't recognize. Problem? I live in the 203 area code. I've had this conversation verging on a really embarrassing number of times.
Me: HELLO!!!
Person: Is this edgeofthenight?
Me: YES IT IS OH MY GOD
Person: ...I'm just confirming your appointment for this thing that isn't YLS
Me: ...Oh. Yep.
You might already know this, but if the number is 203-432-XXXX, then it's coming from Yale. However, the folks in admissions also make calls from non-YLS numbers on the weekends (and maybe weekday evenings).

is it me or is every law school slower than normal this year....LSN and TLS don't have much from Yale or Stanford as of today....they had movement last year.....USC is slow but that is a given with them....The LSAT hasn't released scores yet....this wait will give me a heart attack.

Hey guys, just thought I would let you all know that they are indeed still working over there at the (203). Just got the call a few min ago--kind of in shock! I submitted a week into November. Good luck to everyone!

Just submitted my own today, so...checking in? Feels kinda late to be saying that but apparently "applying late to YLS doesn't affect your chances of admission!"

Submitted Yale 12/12/12 and went complete yesterday. It's a total shot in the dark as my numbers aren't close to being near their target range but they sent me a webinar invite back in October/Nov so it's worth a shot since i had a fee waiver as well.

haha yup (it was about 8:45 PM EST). Thanks, and to all those waiting good luck! I really didn't think my numbers were in the range either but they clearly are looking at all these applications very closely.hannahk wrote:Did they really call you this late?zdc wrote:Hey guys, just thought I would let you all know that they are indeed still working over there at the (203). Do we know the latest application complete date of an accepted student? I received my complete email first week of dec.

Congrats! That's amazing. So you submitted on 11/12/12? Should those of us who applied before that date throw in the towel now? I mean, I had a .000001% shot to begin with, but now I'm officially giving up hope. Good luck everyone! YLS is amazing. I was lucky enough to be there last year for ASW and over the summer, and I absolutely loved it. Have a great time!zdc wrote:Hey guys, just thought I would let you all know that they are indeed still working over there at the (203). Just got the call a few min ago--kind of in shock! Definitely not. There is no discernible pattern to the faculty review process, because professors' behavior varies. Some professors tear through their pile of apps quickly, some work at a moderate pace, and others take their sweet time. Some applicants get a fast moving set of professors and others do not.ssanonymous wrote:zdc wrote:So you submitted on 11/12/12? Should those of us who applied before that date throw in the towel now?

Hey all---I was checking this forum like crazy until I got the call last night at 5:54 PM CST. My application went complete on 11/13/12 and I submitted a few weeks before that. If they could take back an offer based on a reaction, I think they would do that in my case---I was celebrating a good friend's new job during Happy Hour and couldn't stop shouting to the Admissions Dean how much I LOVE HIM. I am wishing you all the best of luck! Feel free to message me with questions.

Congrats, class2016!
Do you mind us asking your GPA and LSATs?
I'm guessing your an auto admit since it's so early on in the cycle, so your scores must be pretty high.

Hi all,
Noticed that a lot of the recent admits on the fb page are pretty young (class of 2011 undergrad). Hopefully, they'll admit older students soon?
