I think the first interview invites will occur the end of this week or sometime next week since JS said the cycle will be more similar to two years ago. I also think the deans would want to start interviewing as soon as possible given that they are extending the length of individual interviews and interviewing more people overall.

Any predictions on when JS1 invites go out? My guess November 5.
Also, I've noticed that the amount of applicants on law school numbers is about half what it was last year. This is unscientific in all sorts of ways but I'm hoping it bodes well for us!

I think they'll start coming out tomorrow.

November 2nd. Interviews to begin on November 5th.

I would have guessed tomorrow (November 1) but with the hurricane it might be delayed. I'll say Friday, November 2. Though depending on the hurricane recovery, Harvard might want to wait until next week to send the emails because some people may still be without power on Friday and may not have access to emails. Waiting is especially important if people are signing up for time slots as JS mentioned in her Admissions Dean interview. This way people without power would not be at a disadvantage.

Btw imagine if the hurricane had happened next week instead. That would have been disastrous for the election!

I think I'll go with November 5th also. People not having power should definitely be taken into consideration (I didn't get mine back until this morning FWIW). And I doubt they'd send them out on Election Day, though I could be wrong.

Also, the LSN thing would probably only be helpful (though still unscientific) if you could figure out how many applicants there were this time last year. Too many people don't create accounts until later in the cycle or after it's over.

Just got an interview invite via email. Looks like interviews begin the morning of November 5. Also, I had trouble filling out the appointment form on Firefox, but the site worked fine on Explorer.

Part of me wants to say, "No, the first batch of rejections usually doesn't come until January" and the other part of me wants to say "I have no idea how Harvard will act this cycle."
