Sorry to hear that Dr Filth. I'm sure you'll get off the waitlist. Focus on the rest of your cycle and chin up.

@alwayssunnyinfl - ctmx and I applied literally 10 minutes after the applications opened up and are so far the only ones with acceptances. We were both complete as of 9/6. My status checker still says complete/under consideration (though I have an email with the subject line "UVA Law - Happy Birthday!") that says otherwise.

For posterity's sake, I've updated my LSN profile with more info in case anyone was curious about my softs/other application specifics. No mention of a scholly, but that was expected. Good luck to everyone else! I'll be stopping in to check this thread pretty frequently. I'm also going to update the first post with people who are accepted AND attending. Don't forget to stop by the UVA c/o 2016 thread as well (also linked in the first post).

9/5 - Status checker email
9/6 - Another status checker email with a confirmation of ED

I first got the status checker email on 9/5 and it said complete at that point (so Thursday is the absolute latest I could hear). I'm still hoping for a call today. No call or email as of yet. I'm getting my other apps ready, though, just in case.

FYI, if you're accepted the status should say the following a few hours after the phone call (my phone call was at 11:45 fwiw):

An admission letter is en route via regular mail, and you'll receive additional information about us periodically during the upcoming months via email, but we hope you will take us up on offers to put you in touch with people in our community or among our famously loyal (and successful) alumni who can help you learn more about opportunities available to you here, and the long-standing and deeply rooted characteristics of the Virginia Law community.

This might change slightly if you get a scholly (Dean Richard didn't mention one and I'm not expecting one).

That would be a huge loss for prospective LS applicants. Maybe they will hand the reigns off to someone else, or one of our resident programmers (Mr. MyLSN.info, maybe) could find a way to carry over the old data onto a new website.

About my app: ED went complete 9/6, reverse splitter above 75th (with a retake that made a biiig score bump & relevant addendum), non-resident, non-URM, 2ish years WE, awesome LORs, OK PS, no why-UVA but got my face in front of admissions staff a few times (LSAC conferences, campus visit) to express my genuine interest.

They just updated the cycle options. There is now information specific to 12-13.

Mid-December. I couldn't find any examples of splitters EDing late like that, so I tried it.

As it turns out, ED to UVA is not a good back-up plan for splitters. It may be better for VA residents, reverse splitters, URMs, or people who are in some other way extra valuable, but for splitters who are not special in some other way, it's just too late.

disappointing =/ That is my backup plan atm, depending on Penn ED and RD acceptances. Hopefully this cycle might be a little more lenient if it comes down to it =/
