Re: Columbia c/o 2016 Applicants (2012-2013)
Can I ask a neurotic question just to get reassurance? That's what this site is for, right?
Does it violate the terms of the Columbia Early Decision Contract to apply to other schools after you've applied to Columbia but before Columbia's replied? I can't think of why, but it seems like there's a paranoid way of reading the rules that says your application to Columbia should be your last application.

Nope, you just have to withdraw when you get accepted. Oh, and none of your other apps can be ED.

General consensus is that if we're on the borderline, we should stay away from ED this cycle, right?

Haha, my numbers are almost identical to yours, and I'm starting to seriously second-guess myself on the last day...moonman157 wrote:That's what I did. I don't understand this. I have the following message on my status checker and I have received no emails regarding my application going complete:
Application Status: Completion Pending
We have received all the components of your application and are in the process of compiling them for completion. We kindly ask that you allow at least two weeks from the date of your last submission for completion to occur. After your file is "Complete", you will receive notification of this update by email.
Thank you for your continued interest in Columbia Law School.
I sent in my app on Oct. 3 and have had this message since Oct 8th. Should I be emailing them at this point?

I sent my app (and CAS/LORs) in on the 11/8 and still haven't received any sort of email even confirming that they have received them. Is this something I should worry about or should I just give it a little more time?

Re: Columbia c/o 2016 Applicants (2012-2013)
Need some help, guys - I'm still waiting on one final letter of rec to pour in, despite the ED deadline being tomorrow.
I know my professor will get it done, but is there a cut-off point during the day for submission, like midnight EST?
This is probably a stupid question too, but if I do submit it tomorrow afternoon, will I run into any problems, given a lot of people here haven't received notice that their applications are complete? It doesn't have to be completed, just submitted with all the documents necessary for completion, right?

I still have the same message as you and applied at mid-October. But I can see on LSAC that they requested my report on Oct. 29th... so I guess it should come around soon. Anyways I don't think they're giving any decisions before January so...lsatprepguy wrote:I don't understand this. all you need to login to their status checker is your first/last name, DOB, and LSAC account number. They didn't send me anything but I can log in and it shows my application is completedigifly wrote:Hmmm, still no confirmation email with status checker after 7 days now. Should I email or wait?

Thanks! Because of all the other emails from schools I didn't even think to look for this. It's there and everything is checked off.MJLE16 wrote:all you need to login to their status checker is your first/last name, DOB, and LSAC account number. Final count of EDrs on LSN is 10 (unless people add info after the 11/15 deadline, which I guess is not impossible). Huge decrease as compared to the last several years, even if we assume several more people add in the next several days.
What's the final read on this TLSrs?

How do you see who is ED? Did you open all 292 profiles to check?NDOMUKONGGGG wrote:Final count of EDrs on LSN is 10 (unless people add info after the 11/15 deadline, which I guess is not impossible). No you have to search "application type" -- there's an option for ED.

Anyone else having trouble viewing the status checker page? For the last few days every time I try logging on I get some kind of webpage error or something. Tried it on two different computers too and I still can't see anything.

When I log in to the status checker I get an entirely blank page... Submitted a few mins past midnight on 11/16. Is anyone else experiencing this? How long after folks submit are their files complete?
Seriously? What are you waiting for?
