Congratulations on your acceptance, and I look forward to seeing many of you this fall.

I have a quick question, if it would be alright to deviate from the discussion. I received a KB2 yesterday, and my status date and description have changed, but there is no indication that an admissions packet has been sent, and it does not seem, as I thought I saw happened with some, that I have received an email address.

Any thoughts on whether I should call into the office about it?

Thanks in advance for the advice
My status didn't change with my email address until a day or two later, so I wouldn't worry about it just yet. It should say 'admissions binder sent' under 'mailings,' but again, since you just had your KB2 yesterday, I'd give it some time.

Mine doesn't say anything about the email address or the admissions packet, so I would say wait a few days? As long as it says "admitted" I am sure you can be certain you're in. I would not bother the admissions office about such questions until a longer time has passed, but that's just me...

Agreed. It took me a week to get my packet and I don't think the status changed for a couple days. I wouldn't call admissions until after the New Year.

I'm thinking March ASW too. Any word about financial support from Harvard for travel costs?

I'll also be at the March ASW. I just put together a preliminary March travel schedule and it was pretty packed...should be a fun month. And I believe the admissions letter mentioned something about a partial travel reimbursement for visiting students.

I wouldn't worry too much about the admissions packet situation, it's very possible they're just waiting until after the holidays to get the recent admits their packets.

There's info on the Admitted students site about travel reimbursement based on distance traveled, you have to apply for it before the trip and they can't reimburse you after the fact, I don't remember the rest of the details.

Also hoping to go to the March ASW but it may be a really packed week for me...

Thanks! Here's the info from the site: https://www.law.harvard.edu/prospective ... idies.html
Admitted applicants traveling:

fewer than 150 miles one-way from an origin inaccessible by Boston MTA may expect up to $50 for the entire trip
between 151 and 350 miles one-way may expect up to $75 for the entire trip
between 351 and 1200 miles one-way may expect up to $125 for the entire trip
between 1201 and 3500 miles one-way may expect up to $150 for the entire trip
more than 3500 miles one-way may expect up to $200 for the entire trip
The application form isn't up yet.

Thanks guys

glad to see it worked out for you FreeStallion, we had the same KB1 and KB2 dates so I felt your pain through the waiting process!

Wow seems like everyone is going in March. I'm still in school so it would be tight, but I'd love to go earlier...don't want to wait till mid-April. Plus looks like the April crowd won't be as much fun lol.

how does one log in to the new email/admitted students page? My status has the email listed, is there an email that comes later that lets you log on?

We could start a FB group if we wanted. I don't know much about FB privacy and groups and what not ( I know shocker).

We can make it a closed group and have people request to join but idk how we'd confirm that only admits are getting in. Maybe people who want in would have to pm the person who made it?

ETA: Or send an email to that person from their Harvard acct? lol

Yeah, that seems like it would work. Anyone want to volunteer to start it?

I can start it if we agree on how to screen for it. Also I would make it "secret" so non-members couldn't see who was in the group.

I'll make it.

PM me with your name and I'll invite you. The group will be closed, and the list will be private.

The group will be called: "Harvard Law School c/o 2015 Admitted Students"

yay! make it secret though! and is this a tls only group? if so can you put that in the name (in case there's ever an official one cause that would be confusing). unless it's not tls only.

the only thing is i'm not sure how good a screener pms are? idk maybe i'm paranoid but i don't want tls randos knowing my identity =(

ok I guess I was trusting lol. But the regular posters should be fine at first. We can work out a strategy later?

I mean like me, FS, spek, Mum, ladybug...etc.

I need at least 2 to make the group :P

Someone go first!!!
