Your decision just got really complicated with your GULC dilemma.
Yeah, that's very true. I'm going to GULC's ASW tomorrow...but, unless GULC gives me an unexpectedly large scholarship (with is possible but not probable), I'll be at Miami next year

Guys I would really love to attend Miami, but will not be doing so at sticker price.. Do any of you have thoughts on scholarship awards? I imagine that I will not get any, although I did have a lot of good softs.. My LSAT was 158 and GPA was 3.2 (3.58) so I am a little around/below their medians. I would love to be able to take my talents to south beach..

At a 158, you are above their median LSAT< with a 3.2 you just slightly below their median GPA. You shouldnt have a hard time getting in, but scholarship info I couldnt tell you.
Im interested in attending the U as well... just have wait and see what happens

I think it's a mistake. See my response at the bottom:

How did you get notified of your acceptances today? I got an email like 3 hours ago from Student Recruitment that says "At this time next year, you’ll be enjoying the law school experience in a stimulating environment on the beautiful University of Miami campus!" and then it provides the link for the admitted students page and Class of 2015 facebook page. That doesn't really SEEM like an acceptance, but why else would they be sending me that? And there's is nothing in my myUM account..... Getting very anxious!

Did you get the e-mail saying check your status? I got that last night, and when I created an account and logged in it said Congratulations. Then I got that e-mail about "this time next year..." today. Looks like you're in.

No I have not received the "check your account" email..... just that one from Student Recruitment, which seems kinda random if you haven't received official acceptance yet! But thanks for the responses... I feel much better now! Hopefully will get good news tonight or tomorrow!

I appreciate your input, I truly do, but I think we differ slightly in our perspectives about UMiami. I understand it isn't GULC, and while I'm not ruling out GULC because I got MS...I'm also not ruling out Miami. Depending on what you want to do, I think Miami can be a great choice. I'm so happy that they picked me for MS

I'm going to Georgetown tomorrow and to Miami a bit later in the week. Both are great options at this point, for different reasons albeit.

Check your "MyUM" account. I never got an e-mail either, but when I logged on there was a big congratulatory letter.
Congrats to you and everyone who got in today !!!!!!!!

Got the acceptance today, I'm almost certainly going to be at UM next fall. A scholarship would help greatly though, applied for MS also. 158 / 3.73.

Yeah I was accepted about a week ago. I actually called up and the admissions lady said, "Oh you'll get good news soon", got the email on last Friday and the formal acceptance letter on Monday. Too bad it takes time to learn about merit scholarships...I'm hopeful given that I'm above their 75% LSAT, 163 / 3.4.
I'm really hoping that I get it too, given that I live in Miami (free housing) so it would make it real cheap for me!

Just called and asked about that email that I and some other applicants received yesterday. They said that they have problems with myUM account these days and cannot update statuses of some admitted applicants. So, yes, I am admitted! 155/4.0, Full-time, sent 12/27/11, received Jan 6, 2012. I have never received any email confirmation that my file went complete. Residence - CA
