Re: Case Western 2015
My application went under review 12/8, and changed to stage two at the beginning of the month but no date change. What is going on?

I'm slowly losing interest as I get acceptances from other schools.

Re: Case Western 2015
I lost interest when they ignored all my attempts at correspondence to get information about their interview program. If a school can't reply or call me back before I'm even there, they obviously won't have much motivation to do it once I'm paying tuition.
I hope I do get accepted and receive a phone call from some dean because I will clearly state my disappointment in their customer service. It just doesn't give me a warm and fuzzy feeling about attending (fair or unfair).
(I have 10 other acceptances anyway... I over applied because I'm a splitter and didn't know how it would work out for me)

Did you have an interview? If so, how long after your interview were you accepted?CPM723 wrote:Just got the call. Accepted!

Got the request for an interview finally last night. Planning on doing it this weekend, for those that were interviewed, what kind of questions were you asked and did you ask them?

I actually opted out of the interview because the Interviewer and I could not find a time that worked. I opted out about 2 weeks ago.MOJayhawk wrote:+1YankeeFan2 wrote:Did you have an interview? If so, how long after your interview were you accepted?CPM723 wrote:Just got the call. Accepted!

I have an interview tomorrow morning, so I'll post when it's done if you'd like. She said it would be thirty mins...puremorning wrote:Got the request for an interview finally last night. Re: Case Western 2015
I had an interview last week with an alumni. She was mostly interested in why I wanted to go to law school and why in particular I thought Case was a good school. I mostly asked her about her experience at Case, what the other students were like and why she chose Case over other schools. It was pretty informal (though if it is in person I suggest dressing well as she said that is one of the important points that you present yourself well), we just had coffee and talked. I had a very positive experience and my interviewer seemed to love her time there which made me excited to attend (if I am admitted, which I hope will be soon).

For everyone complaining about the interview option, they just sent around an email about it. Finally!

Re: Case Western 2015
Just had my interview (via phone). Lasted about 45 mins, and my interviewer was fantastic. She was very energetic, articulate, and welcoming.
As other people have mentioned, it was really more of a conversation than a formal interview. She just asked me to tell her about myself, what I wanted to do with my law degree, and why Case basically...then told me about the school and the city and answered lots of questions for me. I had general questions about Cleveland (never having been there), the international program at Case, job placement/employment prospects, and a few personal things.
Hope it went well, because I would really love to attend!

How did you dress for yours? I have mine tomorrow, so it's not like I'll be coming straight from work for it, and it's a weekend so I don't want to have to dress up super nice, but will a pair of cords, boots, and a sweater suffice or should I dress it up more?twirlygirl wrote:I had an interview last week with an alumni. Re: Case Western 2015
Had my interview today and it was fantastic. My interviewer isn't working in the field of law though, so for some that may have been a turn off but he had an interesting story and was working in a field I have previous experience in, so that was cool! I'm wondering if Case did that. He also came from the same geographic area my undergrad was in. He painted an amazing picture of Case for me, while also being very approachable and honest. The interview took a little over 30 minutes (he told me that he was told to keep it 30 mins), though unlike other students on this board he only had my name and phone number, no other information whatsoever.

This is very encouraging. Unfortunately, mine is over the phone. I hope this doesn't alter the circumstances way too much.puremorning wrote:Had my interview today and it was fantastic. Re: Case Western 2015
After reading about this school, and the fact that they give so many people interviews (which I think is pretty cool), I decided to send in an app just to see what happens. Fee waiver was nice too.

What's the student body like/atmosphere of the school? Also, how do you like Cleveland?Case1L wrote:Hi all, I'm a 1L at Case. If anyone has questions, feel free to ask me.

After my interview I am so much more interested in the school. I'm really looking forward to getting my decision from them, hopefully this weekCPM723 wrote:Since getting accepted I've become more and more intrigued with Case...I have some more looking into to do.
