Got back my decision packet. Only got 23k a year. Was hoping for the 32k a year, but I guess they favor GPA more than LSAT. Probably can't attend with only that much money.

That's not very encouraging for me, my LSAT and GPA are slightly lower than yours and I was hoping for as much as possible. By the way, when did your decision render, Dash?

I got a decision rendered February 3. I think they just favor GPA way more than LSAT from the looks at their scholarship offers.

That's interesting that we are applying to all the same schools. I think your stats are better than mine, but have we been having a similar cycle?

Ironically enough, I didn't apply to any of those other schools. I applied to Stetson because I thought there was a good chance at full tuition (which I did indeed get). I applied to Loyola because my uncle went there. My LSN profile is in my profile here, so you can check out where I applied to.

Status checker says a decision letter was mailed yesterday. Because others were informed of their acceptance via status checker, does it mean my decision letter likely won't be a decision package?

I don't think the status checker actually says what the decision is for anyone so I wouldn't worry.

It makes me so sad! What's making me even more sad is that I'm going out of the country for 4 months soon. That means even if I do get in I won't get to open my own admit packet

Don't think that! Loyola is notoriously slow with admissions - I even put it in my OP!

But, some people have heard back within a matter of weeks! It just makes me think they don't like what they see from my application.

In with $69,000 (over 3 years) scholly. Feel very lucky, but I will probably be withdrawing soon. Hopefully someone can take my spot, good luck to everyone waiting!!

Has LMU ever considered their antiquated admissions cycle is one of the reasons why they are the 3rd/4th choice in the Los Angeles area?

When you're lagging behind USC/UCLA you should be taking every step possible to steal applicants away. Making us wait until late in the cycle for a response just makes the slim chance we would attend even less likely.

Yeah, this. The only thing they have going for them at this point, as far as I'm concerned, is that I could be close to my family with (hopefully) a scholly. But that's becoming less and less of a factor as the cycle goes on without any acknowledgement of my existence. I don't need flowers every week or anything like that, but at least update the status checker so that I know whether my application is under review or sitting in a neglected pile in the corner of someone's office.

I called a couple of weeks ago and did one of the online chats a while ago with the admin staff. Loyola processes all Early Decision applicants first. Then they look at other applicants. I think if you're way above their median they'll look at you ASAP. If you're near the median or below, get ready to wait. I applied mid-december and the lady on the phone said I'll probably hear from them by end Feb. I got in U San Diego with $$, hoping for the same from Loyola!!

Getting really tired of waiting. I betcha they already have the rejection letters ready to go. Not trying to be a Negative Nancy here, but I'vebeen waiting since Oct... This is not good.

Btw I called the admissions office today and was told that PT will find out sometime in MARCH OR APRIL. Ugh. That is just crazy.

I don't know what your LSAT is, but with a 4.0 GPA you should retake. Don't waste that beautiful GPA on LMU.

Edit: If it helps any. Two classmates got WL at UCLA, one 160/3.81 and 161/3.77. They love GPAs.
