Patiently waiting on Emory before I do anything. Anyone know how successful negotiating has been in the past? Especially for splitters? Got $$ from Alabama but nothing from UGA.T00L wrote:^ did not receive that one....

Got my acceptance letter yesterday with 5k a year. Hoping to negotiate though when I get my other decisions
Follow-up: Just got my acceptance email from W&M. Still waiting on scholly info in the mail. Hoping for something significant to bargain with UGA.

I am. I was offered $30K at Wake Forest and $5K + Tuition Equalization Scholly at UGA. I plan to use the Wake offer as a bargaining tool. Just not sure exactly how to word it without sounding entitled...
Have you had any success?

Checked my status checker and was accepted today! Didn't check yesterday, but I assume it changed then. Anyway if anyone hadn't checked recently, might want to take a look its only been 10 days since I applied.
If I get in-state 1st year UGA will really move up my list. Looking forward to meeting some of you all at the open house.

Word on the street is more schollys are being sent out to AS tomorrow, to both newly AS as well as some people who were admitted last semester and didn't receive anything (or might be awarded slightly more than they were before).

Well, I haven't tried yet... I need more info, but do you think 40k/y at W&L is enough to get started?ClassyKelly wrote:T00L wrote:^ did not receive that one....

I've been complete at UGA since october and have just been sitting in review. I think they forgot about me. Should I send a LOCI or is that only once you've been waitlisted.

In today via UGA's status checker on their website.
Didn't send in my app until 1/23/12 and didn't go under review until earlier today. No complaints here haha.
No Email yet though...

I realize that wasnt directed at me but hopefully this helps ya out
3.19--166
So no not exceedingly great stats on my end...I wouldnt make assumptions based on the timeframe either, LS Apps are eerily similar to a crap shoot

3.05/168 white male OOS.
I was pleasantly shocked to get a decision so quickly. UGA is the highest ranked school I applied to and they admitted me less than 12 hours after going complete.

They told me they *should* be sent out Feb 1 via snail mail. We'll see how quickly they arrive though.T00L wrote:Well, I haven't tried yet... I need more info, but do you think 40k/y at W&L is enough to get started?ClassyKelly wrote:T00L wrote:^ did not receive that one....
