I like that rejection spike. Nothing says "Happy New Year" better.

I think it would help a bit, especially if you are at the margins stat-wise or worried about yield protection. I just didn't know what else to write.UnamSanctam wrote:So I assume you don't think two optional essays have a significant advantage over one?Tiago Splitter wrote:Just one for me. So, I'm reading the viewbook, and I'm getting goosebumps. I'm starting to rethink ED'ing to NYU. I better take a trip to the city to get myself back on the NYU bandwagon.

Seems like NYU and Michigan would be polar opposites. The Michigan recruiting pitch is pretty impressive.

Yeah, this is probably nondescript enough, and the significance to me isn't particularly obvious, so I'm okay with it. But...man, Michigan knows how to pimp itself out. I'm starting to get all Liz Lemon on UM (I want to go to there).Tiago Splitter wrote:LOL was John Doe taken?Yeshia90 wrote:So, I'm reading the viewbook, and I'm getting goosebumps. Don't wanna go all fact-checky on you, but real LL went to the other UM (University of Maryland) on a partial competitive jazz dance scholarship. It's probably one of my favorite things about her.Yeshia90 wrote:Yeah, this is probably nondescript enough, and the significance to me isn't particularly obvious, so I'm okay with it. sorry, noob question perhaps..
If we used the LSAC LoR form do we need to do anything with the last page of the app? Or do we just attach the LoRs we already have on file at LSAC?

Are you mailing the app in? As far as I know the only way to get the LORs to the school is electronic transmission via LSAC. I'd imagine this is the case regardless of how the rest of the app gets there.cubbiesyear wrote:sorry, noob question perhaps..

Hey guys! Checking in. I'll be applying to Michigan, but probably won't end up there. It's a shame because the Law Quad is pret-tay, pret-tay, pret-tay, pret-tay good.

You have probably already seen it, but many of us current students do regularly respond on the Michigan 1Ls/2Ls/3Ls taking questions thread.

Good luck with your cycle. Coming to Michigan is never the wrong choice.

Re: Michigan c/o 2015 Applicants (2011-2012 cycle)
Should I be worried?!
So I went to apply to Michigan yesterday, and had 3 LORs attached. I went to submit, and just re-checked to make sure it had the right LORs. Well one of my recommenders hadn't gotten his letter in, so I meant to take him off and add another one on. I thought that is what I did. I noticed that it said that Michigan would accept 4 LORs on the page, but I was pretty sure from checking their site earlier in the cycle that they wanted 1-3. I checked out, all is well.
Well today, I went to look at the LOR page for another application and I see all my little mail letters next to all the LORs from yesterday. There is not 3 but 4 next to Michigan. Sigh. They are all 4 fine to go to them, one is targeted and the other 3 are general. Still, I'm a little nervous that it will annoy them. It's not like I didn't follow directions, LSAC def said 4 and I remember thinking that was odd, double-checking on Michigan's website to ensure my memory was correct and LSAC was wrong, and removing the one that hadn't come in yet anyhow. Of course, it must have arrived yesterday before they sent the application because they have all been sent to Michigan already.
I know TLSers wouldn't make this mistake, but someone else could if LSAC directions are wrong. So I might not be alone at least right?

Even if you got WLed from Michigan, you're HYS secure and $$ @ CCN, so it doesn't really matter. There wouldn't be much point attending in the first place.
Seriously? What are you waiting for?
