Anyone else check out the "This must stop!" thread?
Apparently McGeorge is spamming applicants who have numbers way above their medians, so I'm assuming they are holding out for some more auto admits. Kind of annoying.

Congrats! When you applied, did you choose FT, PT, or opt for both?ohhenry wrote:Accepted today! Received a well put together package in the mail. The assistant dean added a handwritten personal note re my statements, which I felt was a nice touch.
12K a year with top 3rd stip. Ugh. Very tempting if they got rid of the stip.

Complete just means your file is complete and they've received everything they need from you.

Decision rendered today. I have been complete since 11/2, so I'm not too sure how I feel about this one...

Re: U. of Pacific 2011 Applicants
Hahah, this is too funny. I'm decision rendered today, too. Unfortunately know its a ding because I got a call yesterday about doing a survey for how students in bio majors choose law schools. As soon as I mentioned I applied to McGeorge, they started asking specific questions about that school. Well, I didn't sugar coat my feelings about McGeorge...said it was a regional school, and with my numbers would be an OK choice but I didn't have high hopes of doing big law in LA with a degree from there, etc.TT09 wrote:Decision rendered today. Decided to just be honest since I'm going to wait a year and retake, but this kind of affirms my suspicion that the school was in on the survey, and since my numbers are only around the 25th.....
Anybody else get that call?
Edit: What really made me suspicious were also questions on the survey like "If admitted to McGeorge, how likely would you be to enroll?"; "How do you rate the national reputation of McGeorge"; "Do you consider McGeorge a reach school?" and a plethora of other questions on location, strength of programs, faculty. Was almost like a quiz for how much I knew about the school.

That's weird, I got that call too :/ I think it was a general survey because I looked up the phone number and it was from Montana or somewhere (but I don't have a DR today)meh3884 wrote:Hahah, this is too funny. DR 2/25. I see a lot ppl got DR's on same day. Anybody have any idea if this is a batch of rejections, w/l, or acceptances? I didn't get the survey call but I do live in FL so maybe they don't like paying for long distance phone calls.

according to some of my own personal research on LSN and people's profiles here, i'm seeing a lot of 150s/3.1-3.3 gpa people who got DR'd for 2/25. You guys think this bodes well at all? Myself I'm a splitter among these people with my LSAT higher slightly higher than 160 but much lower than 3.0, and I got DR 2/25 too, so I'm not sure what my fate is.

Re: U. of Pacific 2011 Applicants
I'm not feeling really confident about it. But it could go either way...1. that they waited a while to try and get as many people to apply above their medians and now they're giving out the midway acceptances or 2. they haven't sent out a lot of dings and this is the first big batch.lsatextreme wrote:according to some of my own personal research on LSN and people's profiles here, i'm seeing a lot of 150s/3.1-3.3 gpa people who got DR'd for 2/25. i'm sorry to hear that sftyler. Man you got your letter fast...can I assume you live in the city? In that case I wonder where mine is since I live in Hercules so mine wouldn't even have to travel across the bay bridge...sftyler wrote:I also go DR and phone survey yesterday, 2/25.
