In via email around 11am!!! Submitted late December, IR 1/28. 171/3.2x

I'm so excited, I was beginning to think that I was going to get waitlisted everywhere. Since my fiance wants to stay close to home, UConn is definitely a top choice if the price is right.

Good luck to everyone still waiting!

Waitlisted, 3.15 / 164. Applied in mid-November. Sucks, and surprising, but my GPA really doesn't do me any favors.

Friend of mine w/ 3.2 / 163 was accepted, however. Ouch.

Wow were you really expecting to get waitlisted with a 171?? God help me with my lousy 157. I'm just banking on a part-time acceptance so badly.

Not trying to rekindle the "Hartford is an effin ess hole" debate but I went to visit the school and drove around the area a bit.
I'll be kind and simply call the campus an oasis.
Recommend visiting before committing, especially if you will live in the area.

You never know... someone posted on here that they got WLed with an above 75th LSAT. I mean I figured I'd get in, but UConn was my first official acceptance to somewhere I'd be willing to go. After three waitlists right in a row, it feels good to get in somewhere.

Haha. As a survivor of 4 years of Hartford undergrad, I HIGHLY recommend living in West Hartford or any of the surrounding towns. West Hartford especially has a nice, safe downtown with good shopping & restaurants. Farmington, Wethersfield and Glastonbury should all be good as well. Personally, I will almost definitely live in West Hartford if I go to UConn.

The best thing about Hartford is that it's small - there's no real reason for one to live within city limits. There also at least used to be some really great restaurants in some really not too great neighborhoods.

I am not the utmost authority on the area, but if anyone has any questions in general, I'd be glad to answer.

I'd have to agree that Hartford is a shit hole. I went to Trinity college (located in a shady area of Hartford) for four years. But UCONN law is in west Hartford, where i live now, and it's a pretty nice and enjoyable area. Its where all the insurance execs live after work.

Hey fellow Trin alum!

Trinity is in a MUCH worse section of Hartford. UConn Law is still in Hartford proper, but in the West End.

Are you applying??

Man, I really want to get off of this waitlist. Looks like it will be a long ride filled with disappointment.

Just got the waitlist email. 2.9, 167. Wasn't expecting that, but oh well.

For those who are wondering about scholarship information - I got in February 4th, got the email about a scholarship yesterday, February 24th. It was a loooong wait.

And I was complete the beginning of November.

I woke up to an acceptance email, and now I'm sniffing around for scholarship information.

Seriously? What are you waiting for?

Now there's a charge.
Just kidding ... it's still FREE!
