The scholarship stats for PT are much lower than FT (both in number of students getting $$ and the median award), but I figured it was mostly because the GPA/LSAT medians of the PT program are lower too. In total $$ over multiple years, I think mine is the biggest scholly offered so far this cycle (listed on LSN, anyway), maybe because my numbers would help boost the PT program's medians more than I'd help the FT program's.
Edit: there's a bigger scholly (fglass) than mine listed on TLS Stats.

In with 15k a year!
Does anyone know if L&C will honor the travel stipend for a time other than preview weekend?

I wish. I'm still at 12/20. I guess there really was no point for me to submit 10/1...

Everybody should bring all of their viewbooks to ASW and we can build a castle out of them or something.

Lol! I actually only ever got one viewbook, before I applied. Lucky? But since I can log into the Admitted Students site, I'm hoping it's an acceptance!

Congrats to those who have been admitted, good luck to those of you still awaiting. Where else have you all applied? I am in at LC. I'm a Portlander myself. Are you all planning on attending the preview events? I will gladly answer any questions that anyone has about living in the NW, Oregon, and of course Portland!

yea, I have a question.
I have been to Portland a few times and really liked it. I have never been to L&C though I noticed it's not close to downtown.
How hard is it to get from L&C to downtown? Anyone know? Anyone know what the neighborhood by L&C is like?

@Norcal,
Its seriously less than 10 minutes from downtown, a few upward winding streets in the SW area, but nothing too hard to navigate. Its located in a high end res area

Just admitted to L&C via snail mail! I doubted the large piece of mail at first, due to all the chatter about the law school sending out viewbooks again and again. My status checker is still listed as complete, though. Maybe they didn't get around to changing it?

The neighborhood by L&C is upscale residential, and a forested state park. I'm sure most law students live off campus. There's bus access all over, including to downtown, via Tri-Met (
http://trimet.org/) I think you take 2 buses to get downtown, and it's like 30-40 minutes. (I've never taken the bus there myself.) Much faster by car, obviously--10-15 minutes.

I live in Portland.
The area by L&C is pretty nice. You could live in any number of areas and be in pretty easy commute distance. I live in Sherwood, technically (which is south of Tigard/Beaverton and it takes me about 15-20 minutes to get to that area.
It's not 'close' to downtown, but it's not far, either. I mean, you wouldn't try to walk it, lol, but it's only gonna take you 15 minutes max to drive downtown. Less in a low traffic time or if you take barbur blvd instead of the freeway.
L&C is still refusing to tell me if they love me or hate me, which is driving me nuts.

There are definitely buses and things, but also LC has shuttles that go from campus to downtown for students who use public transportation to get around. It's not much of a drive. Really, no matter where you live in the Portland Metro area, it's pretty easy access to downtown. If you have a car, it's a 5-20 minute drive. If you use public transit, we have a terrific light rail system that would allow you to travel to downtown even without a car pretty easily. From where I live on the southern edge of downtown (Portland State University campus) it's about a 10 minute drive to the law school.

Any current L & S law students checking in?
Can you comment on the rate at which tuition has increased over recent years and what - if anything - you've heard about tuition for next year?
Seriously? What are you waiting for?
Now there's a charge.
