I got a call today from Case requesting a phone interview for next week. Based on the thread from last year, this means that I'm a borderline applicant.

If LSN is to be trusted they have rejected higher LSATs. I also applied to Cleveland and Akron. I'm stuck in the paradise that is N.E. Ohio for the rest of my life (or marriage, whichever ends first).

Phone interview is a formality 99% of the time. They just want to know that you're interested and not trying to get leverage against a splitter friendly higher-ranked school. If you declined the interview, you would probably get rejected, even with better numbers.

If you're married to the region (ha) that's actually a plus. Case has always been the top ranked school in its little microregion, but it sends its graduates every which way and lags behind CSU in local alumni strength. They want to change that.

1L substantive = ~3.0

Scholarships = 3.15 (some have no requirement)

Scholarships came within hours of the acceptances last year. On the thread from last year someone on 12/23 received a scholarship offer.

Mine was stuck for a week or two as well. I called them to see if they had all the paperwork they needed from me. The adcomm I spoke to looked up my file while I was on the phone, confirmed she had everything and moved me to "Committee Review"

Just call and introduce yourself, and indicate you want to make sure they have all the documents to make a decision on your application. The adcomm I spoke to didn't seem bothered by the question and I'm sure they get much more annoying calls.

got an "on hold till april" email .. boo! the bad part is that I don't have much to send between now and then to help my app. Only taking one class this quarter, no new lsat, etc.. I'll just have to write a good loci i guess!

I haven't heard anything else either, and I've been under review for almost a month. I know patience is a virtue, but for now im lacking.

I was sitting on "application complete" for almost 2 weeks, then I e-mailed them to ask if they needed anything else.. Same day change to review.
