Well Ive been UR since 11/11. Werent some of you 11/16? You could simply be the next wave..

"I hope this email finds you well! As you know, your file is currently under review at our law school, and I'm sure you are eagerly awaiting a decision. Consequently, we wanted to provide you with a quick update regarding the timing of your decision.

Due to the holiday break, our office will be closed for most of next week. As a result, you will not receive a decision on your file until after the Thanksgiving holiday. Please note that it could be a few weeks after Thanksgiving before you have a decision, and due to the busy nature of this time of year, we are unable to provide a more definitive date by which you might hear from us at this time.

So... I'm thinking this is bad?

I suspect neither good nor bad. I think this is just W&L keeping you in the loop as they've done all along.

I dont understand how it can be bad. If they were going to reject you they would just have rejected you...if you aren't notified 'til after Thanksgiving then it means you weren't part of this groups decisions...which would indicate to me that they haven't yet made a decision on your application.

Hmmm... well, since you're always right I'm just gonna believe you're right on this one too.

TBH I would have been surprised to hear back so soon (I only went under review on Tuesday and I assume Reach + URM = longer wait). You guys are likely correct, this email just caught me off guard and Barbie totally got me excited (I hope you get in!).

Yeah. People who went under review 11/11 are the second batch. Shortly after, 3rd batch. Not a bad thing!!!

WL is more communicative than any other law school I have seen...at least through the emails etc. Although, Dean Pless being on here and communicating directly with students in his Illinois thread is as impressive if not moreso.
