I've been keeping tabs on the thread and on LSN, and I honestly don't think there have been.

They do it all in batches and there have not been any since 12/22. Rumor is later this week is a real possibility.

Actually, yeah. I got an email last night - full text as follows:

Dear XXX,

I hope this email finds you well. Congratulations once again on your admission to The University of North Carolina School of Law.

I am writing with an update on scholarships and when we hope to award them. Within the next week or two, we will begin sending scholarship offers by email. We are in the process of determining exactly how much funding we have available to award to students who are being admitted for the Fall 2011 incoming class. Unlike at some schools, there are not grade point average and LSAT combinations that result in an automatic scholarship award.

Every student who is admitted to UNC is eligible for a scholarship. There is no additional application needed. All of the scholarships at UNC are merit based and are renewable as long as the student remains in academic and behavioral good standing. This means that if you are awarded a scholarship, you keep it for all three years unless you are no longer in good standing at the law school. The scholarship offers will include the terms of the award and what is necessary to accept the award.

Last year 20% of the incoming class received a scholarship award from UNC and the awards ranged from $5000 to full tuition. Again, I will know shortly what the awards will be for this year. If you have any additional questions, please don't hesitate to contact me.

If you think in-state has anything to do with it, then you are horribly mistaken. I submitted the day apps opened with a decent GPA and well above 75th percentile LSAT and have not even gone under review (in-state). UNC's admissions office is just ridiculously slow.

+1. I'm in-state and I have a passable GPA and an LSAT well above 75th. Although I submitted later than you did (Dec. 3 I believe), one would assume that we would both already be UR at this point if being in-state actually mattered as much as people seem to think it does.
