LSN has 12/29 as RD admit date in 2009trudat15 wrote:thecilent wrote:http://www.top-law-schools.com/images/d ... hicago.jpgtrudat15 wrote:Think ED heard back starting next week. Dont think RD heard back till after ED.thecilent wrote:UR 11/15 *sigh*
Didn't people already start hearing back this time last year?
Doesn't that say otherwise?
These graphs confuse me a bit, but doesnt it say it went from 0 the second week of Dec to like one the third week, none the fourth week, and a huge jump the first week of Jan?
EDIT: So I guess I am wrong. One person heard back with ED admits, then everyone else RD started hearing back the first week of Jan.

It's cause it should be in a bar graph. But yeah I guess you're kinda right.
Should see some action in a few weeks though..

Those graphs aren't very good. Do an LSN Search of Applications and you can filter by ED/RD and date.

Yeah it would make much more sense as a bar graph.thecilent wrote:It's cause it should be in a bar graph. But yeah I guess you're kinda right.

Thanks, dulc. Now that Brooklyn has gone purple, looks like the next threads to stalk are Penn, Chicago, Columbia, in that order.dulcatis wrote:For RD information about when you'll hear back:

I wasn't that nervous until I read Dean Deal's post about Stanford calls. I honestly thought they didn't care what you said...dulcatis wrote:And UChicago is phone calls. I KNOW!!! Like, you think they'd be flattered you're so excited! "Are you sure??" would be like...my natural response. Of excitement.eskimo wrote:I wasn't that nervous until I read Dean Deal's post about Stanford calls. I honestly thought they didn't care what you said...dulcatis wrote:And UChicago is phone calls. Now I have to come up with appropriately grown-up responses.

It's 20 per year, but that's still like 10% of the class...arism87 wrote:Well while we're waiting.. wanna pass the time speculating what the effects of the new scholarships will be? Or what numbers will be needed to get them? 60 is a lot..

I'm guessing similar to Columbia's Hamilton re: numbers required. (i.e. ones much higher than mine)

does UR actually mean anything for chicago? Do they make a decision on your file now and then just not release the decision until late dec/january?

Hmm yeah but only a limited number of people fit that bill, so won't the numbers SOMEWHERE have to drop? <-- me dreamingeskimo wrote:It's 20 per year, but that's still like 10% of the class...arism87 wrote:Well while we're waiting.. wanna pass the time speculating what the effects of the new scholarships will be? It'd be interesting to see how the Rubenstein's affect other merit packages as well. Presumably, it will free up $$$ for them to offer to other students, since the money they were going to offer the Rubenstein kids are now paid for. Unless the just spend the savings on something else.

I'm confused with this conversation. What's changing with the scholarships?

Wow I just read up on it. That's a large portion of the class getting free rides.
Wonder how NYU and Columbia are gonna compete with scholarship matching.
