Re: Case Western 2010
I am anxiously waiting to hear from Case. They had to wait for my Dec LSAT so I know it will probably be a couple more weeks at least.
I did NOT write a why Case. I really need scholarships and I figured that writing about why they are my number one choice would reduce my chances of receiving a scholarship. Did I make a mistake?
I am going to the open house tomorrow. I am familiar with the area but I've never seen the school.

Did anyone else receive a call inviting them to do a phone interview either with a faculty member or with an admissions officer? She also said in it to "let them know if my plans to attend case have changed." Um....preemptive YP?

Totally. I got the exact same call. My numbers are better then their medians and I even wrote a "Why Case?" essay. They said it was for candidates that haven't been able to make it for a visit, and I'm sure they are just gauging people's general interest. I'm personally debating whether I should schedule an interview or just let fate decide. Case isn't a top choice but it's one of those schools that I would really consider if they splashed some money my way.

Yeah, I'm in the same boat. I doubt they've kept track of every person who has come to visit anyhow. I don't want to withdraw but I am worried that maybe my app will be held or WL or something if I don't respond. I don't want to withdraw from anywhere until I have determined where I am going to attend (or at least heard back from enough schools to narrow it down).riburn3 wrote:crombot wrote:Did anyone else receive a call inviting them to do a phone interview either with a faculty member or with an admissions officer? I wish they would give me a decision sometime, jeez. I haven't heard anything from any school except Kent in a long ass time.

I won't be attending the open house today - we are snowed in! I'm bummed.

I had to cancel out due to snow, as well. The storm that hit western Ohio yesterday is now in eastern Ohio. The weatherman is predicting upwards of 12 inches of snow today and overnight for the Cleveland area...that's on top of the considerable snow on the ground.

Re: Case Western 2010
I would have loved to go to the open house, but alas, Case has chosen to be a hefty 6 hour drive from my home, and 8 hours from my college where I need to be on monday.

In today via "heads-up" email. Anyone else get this? And did anyone else receive scholarship $$ in this, or does that come with later "official" email?

Re: Case Western 2010
I got my scholarship offer a couple hours later in a separate email. It said the official letter was on its way. Both subject lines said "Great News from Case". I read here earlier sometimes they send the scholarship email a few days later. Good luck!BuckNuts wrote:In today via "heads-up" email. Anyone else get this? Re: Case Western 2010
My December LSAT score was sent to them on January 4 so I am sure they have gotten it by now. My status still says "Eapp receipt." What does that mean? I sent everything else in early December.

Can all the people who were admitted to Case today, and are willing, share their stats?
Seriously? What are you waiting for?
