I also belong here, was in the first wave but didn't see this thread. My T-Shirt is not the right size. Maybe it's an elaborate plan they have to get us to interact, trade, and make friends? (Would trade M for L, seriously)

Tied for first! With HLS (in) and YLS (though I probably won't get in which will hopefully make the choice easier). Going to take some serious thinking/researching/visiting/educating myself before I know for sure. Looking forward to it.crackberry wrote:Welcome, caved! Not many of us here so far. Thanks! And I think you're right. It'd take Yale (just ain't happening) or a full ride at Chicago (just ain't happening) to sway me.crackberry wrote:Congrats Kretzy. Knew you wanted it. You, V6, and Saya were very confident throughout the whole process, which helped me stay positive after being excluded from the first wave of acceptances. Thank you! I'm especially pleased to hear before Christmas so that I can use the holiday to start comparing some of the potential options for next year.crackberry wrote:I figured it was only a matter of time.managamy wrote:Qualified to join this thread as of 8:15 this morning.
Sorry to have missed the call, but I never get up as early as 8:15 on vacation. At any rate, I can forward the email to all of my family members and receive their e-congratulations!

Hi.
Hey, I'm not entirely sure at this point. I think I lean towards HLS, but a YLS acceptance would change the game entirely. I'm not going to give up on Stanford until I visit though. I'm just afraid I'm going to venture out to Cali, fall in love, and never come back...

Re: In at Stanford!
Yep that would probably happen. As a born-and-raised New Yorker, I can tell you that when I went to California for UG I was saying to myself, "Oh I'll just be out there for four years and then I'll move back to NYC."ad astra wrote:crackberry wrote:Welcome, caved! I graduated in June 2008; I'm never going back to the East Coast. The Left Coast is the best coast.

Dan, what's your ranking between HYS, given that you'll probably get in to all three (assuming you apply to Yale)? The Dan wrote:In as of 11am EST today!

Re: In at Stanford!
I'm hesitant to give a ranking right now, simply because I don't think I have enough information yet to make a decision. I've never been to Stanford before, and while I've been to Yale and Harvard the purposes were not law school visits. I won't be making a decision until after all the ASW's. Right now I'm weakly leaning towards Yale over Harvard and staying on the East coast over moving west, but I'm not going to make a decision based on this weak leaning. Talk to me in April.crackberry wrote:Dan, what's your ranking between HYS, given that you'll probably get in to all three (assuming you apply to Yale)? The Dan wrote:In as of 11am EST today!

Re: In at Stanford!
Just got my package today, as the snow is starting the fall here in CT. Deal Deal wrote a lovely note, the shirt fits me (medium, which I think all the guys get), I'm in love.

In as of last week, via phone. She was really nice.
Looking forward to visiting. I love Stanford, but I'm from the East Coast and plan to stay here, so I'll have to think about if I could handle that...

This week's snowfall, and hearing all of my friends from the Northeast talk about how everyone in the upper South is freaking out because they just can't handle snow (true), is making Palo Alto look better and better. If only ASW was sooner...

Opened my acceptance packet today. Very nice note from Dean Deal in which she invited me to "stay on the Farm for three more years." It's a definite option anyway.
