numbers gpa 3.x-3.x, 17x. contacted about interview, responded immediately, waited with zen patience for a couple weeks (the instructions specifically say "it could take weeks, don't worry"), but when I contacted admissions office they expressed concern that I hadn't been in touch with my alumnus and assured me they would be in touch soon. Now I'm back on the zen patience track and am getting bummed. Just want this taken care of and get back under review.

I really really hope you're right! I applied to Georgetown thinking it was a total pipe dream. Even if I don't ultimately get in, at least I know that the AdComs didn't laugh in scorn at my application

A lot of people with my number seem to have gotten accepted outright at GULC, it made me concerned that I was asked to interview.

i interviewed on 12/2 and was back UR 12/4. Interview was informal and went pretty well. Numbers are 167, 3.76 ED FT. I just really want a decision now. ED candidates are supposed to have a decision by the 15th anyways right?

3.3/170 Interviewed just before Thanksgiving, went to "Under Review" 12/1 and then date changed again at 12/9 (but still says "Under Review" - don't quite get what that means). I went ED, so I'm pretty sure I'm getting deferred to regular admaission (if they don't just outright waitlist me!). Does anyone know how ED deferrals are sent?

My interview was about 30 minutes at the alum's law firm. Mostly pretty casual general questions.

i feel your terrible pain. i emailed after three weeks of not hearing back. the lady responded with something like "we are trying to get in touch with the alumnus we have asked to interview you. if we don't hear back from him by cob monday (or if he can't do the interview) we will set you up with someone else."

does this sound to anyone else like, we hate your guts and actually already rejected you, how dare you ask about your interview? i'm now scared of getting some pissed off, busy man who has been harassed about interviewing me. ah well, it was a reach anyway.

no, I don't think GULC hates you! This is an alum problem, they know it, and they've offered to get you a new one if it doesn't work out! i just think some of their alums maybe aren't as available as the school expected them to be... I certainly feel like I'm in an awkward position, like I'm interrupting a very busy person for something trivial. which is a not great feeling to have going into an interview. :(

I just emailed my interviewer since I've been at "committe requested interview" for 2 weeks since my actual interview.

We're number and status twins (well your GPA is .01 higher than mine). I interviewed last week and went back to UR, I'll let you know how it turns out.

I had an interview. Splitter with several years of WE. Took a few business days to get contacted by alum, went back to UR day after the interview, then UR updated to 12/9.

Sub-3.0 GPA. Expecting a waitlist.

Think its bad news if you're a borderline ED candidate and didn't get an interview request and you're DR?

I just realized that the email for the interview was sent to my Gmail (which i have forwarded to my school email). I then responded from my school email. Do you have to respond from the same email that you it was sent to, or can it be from another?

Just check with them tomorrow to make sure that they have you down as accepting the offer. No harm in that.

Seriously? What are you waiting for?

Now there's a charge.
