It was tough finding people who had early TS1s but no TS2. I did find one person that had a TS1 in early December last year and was waitlisted. They made it off the waitlist in May.georgina wrote: and, has anyone done research into how well people with JR1-no-JR2 end up faring on the waitlist?

Re: Harvard JR1 but no JR2 (yet?) Club
Question - HLS e-mailed me a while back, told me the application was complete and I could use the status checker to keep up with it. Unlike other schools, however, they didn't give me an initial login/password. Same thing has happened with Cornell.
Anyone know what I should do?

that's almost promising. i remember this one non-trad on LSN from a couple of years ago who had a TS1 and never got TS2. it seems like we have a severe lack of data. i think that will be my boredom project for tomorrow.janer wrote:It was tough finding people who had early TS1s but no TS2. ok so at the risk of seeming crazy, i went ahead and looked at 08-09. i looked at the accepted's with a longish time between sent and accepted, large majority of the waitlists, and all of the WL,A and WL,R. i did not look at rejects. i could only find 5 reporting TS1/KB1 anomalies.
these two just had delayed acceptance calls (yay)
http://lawschoolnumbers.com/drnex
http://lawschoolnumbers.com/mightydinosaur
these two were WL,A (yay)
http://lawschoolnumbers.com/stasis1138
http://lawschoolnumbers.com/idk
and this one was WL,R (not yay)
http://lawschoolnumbers.com/sealrsqr/jd
self-reporting bias and all, but not bad!

did a quick look on LSN just now in terms of TS2 timing last year (so far, this year has pretty much mirrored last).
looks like there was a small batch on the next few mondays after this past monday's equivalent date last year. it looks like mondays are the day to watch. good chance at another small batch on each of the next few mondays.

My only consolation is that according to JR we will know definitively by mid-January.

Re: Harvard JR1 but no JR2 (yet?) Club
It looks like most of the people who received TS / KB 1 and had to wait a while for 2 applied pretty late in the cycle. When did everyone have their JR 1? I'm also curious what everyone's stats look like.
I had mine on Thursday (12/10) and I'm going to be keeping my fingers crossed tomorrow. Stat range is: 176-178, 3.75-3.8.

Re: Harvard JR1 but no JR2 (yet?) Club
Are you kidding me? It's far better to be on the edge of your seat waiting for a call from Harvard than to be doing the same for Cornell, Fordham or Cardozo. Don't be an ingrate. You got the JR1. That's an accomplishment in and of itself, and tons of people would KILL for that opportunity. I would murder my entire immediate family.5ky wrote:Do you really believe that? I think that I would much rather never get a JR1 than get one but not a JR2. Especially with my borderline stats, I feel like the probability of my not getting a JR 2 if I were to get a JR 1 would be much higher than normal.Saya wrote:If it makes any of you people feel better, I'd die to be in your position right now.As I'm sure all the people with no JR1s feel.

Re: Harvard JR1 but no JR2 (yet?) Club
i think i can officially join this thread. the ship has sailed.
submitted 11/12 (minus one rec, which arrived 11/18 or so)
UR 11/23
JR1 email 12/1
complete 12/1
JR1 12/8
JR2 ???
171/3.9
i don't understand why they seemingly rushed me through the process only to pass me by.
