My status checker said Congratulations at the top of the page (not where it said that a decision had been made) and it also said that an acceptance package had been mailed out. I received an e-mail shortly after the status checker updated, not sure exactly how long it took.

I forgot to send the supplemental essay "Why Tulane." Just sent it off to them now

I don't think it could hurt any to send a why Tulane? I wrote one and think that it def. helped my app. I don't know this for sure but I think it helped me to get a quick acceptance and scholly.

question 37(b) requires that you submit an "essay" explaining your reason for applying to Tulane.

Hmmmm. Status checker changed from application received to complete on 12/8.

The funny thing is I received a "complete" email on 10/22....

Anyone have good links about Tulane's career prospects/student life/general info on the school? I want to work in Texas, but Tulane is very prestigious (in my opinion) and still in the South so I think it would be dumb to just pass it up without looking into it.

Got a earth friend "tote bag" today in the mail from Tulane containing my acceptance letter and scholarship information. I was rewarded the Dean's scholarship, valued at 60,000 over 3 years. So i guess that's roughly 1/2 the total cost of attending the university. Very excite!

I am in at Tulane by email that says info is in regular mail about scholarship award. I am very pleased with this result. New Orleans seems like it would be a great place to attend Law School.

In at Tulane today via email! I'm a current Tulane undergrad, so if you guys have questions about the area or anything, I'll try to answer with what I know. I'm just sad that I left for 3 weeks this morning and won't get my packet until I get back. Numbers in profile/LSN.

I went complete about the middle of November. My application was received on 11/04. My LSAT is 166. My GPA is a little over three but not spectacular. My Graduate School (MFA) GPA is pretty high, though I understand that's not necessarily an important factor.

I don't know if it has been established on this thread whether the changing status date means anything?

My status date was originally 10/22 then it updated to 12/8 and now it has updated to 12/16. Does anyone know what this means?

nothing since i went complete on 11/18- nothing has changed- don't they know how badly I want an excuse to visit my favorite city

and that I would seriously consider going there

I was just looking at the Tulane Website, and the Goldring Tennis Facility looks really great. Are you familiar with the tennis community in the area at all? And how difficult is it to find a nice apartment within short walking distance of the Law School?

I'm not too sure of the housing market, but one thing you need to be careful of is walking in general. Some areas are really nice (and during the day most areas are fine), but you really don't want to go walking distances through uptown NOLA at night. Plan on having a car. One thing that is a consolation though (as the parking tag at Tulane is really expensive), if you get a ticket everyday for parking on the street (about $18), it will still be cheaper than buying a Tulane tag
