Over the last couple of years, at the latest, the first people start hearing by the 15th of December. This is from the numbers over at LSN, so take it for what it's worth. I'm trying to be patient, but if they say yes then my cycle is over and I can stop being crazy about checking TLS/LSN/Temple Status checker.JessicaD411 wrote:thwalls wrote:Today or tomorrow I would think...hope...pray...
How come you think it will be so soon?

It's for all re-takers. Not just borderline people. For instance, if I had a 164-165-166, I would have just asked for my file to be reviewed.jerzgrl630 wrote:They are probably just holding to see what your next score is. I wonder if they do that to all potential re-takers. Either way, I think you did the right thing by keeping the hold but don't let it get to you. It's probably relatively standard for people who aren't auto-admits or auto-rejects.keg411 wrote:It was in the "App Received" e-mail they sent me; my "hold" isn't a decision hold or waitlist hold. They haven't even looked at my application yet and they won't review it until after the February LSAT.bklyngreenlp wrote:keg -- when did they contact you? I assumed a 162 would have given you a pretty decent shot at being admitted there. Are they just "holding" your application until they have a better sense of their applicant pool or are there other issues involved?
My GPA (from 5 years ago) is crap on a stick, which is why my 162 is likely no good.

Here's to hoping that Temple sticks with tradition and we hear something tomorrow. But in all honesty, I won't be surprised if we have to wait a wee bit longer.

Nope. I have a sneaking suspicion that things are just not going to work out today...we may have to wait...longer. Come on Temple help me end my cycle!KimmyGibbler wrote:Today is supposed to be the big day. Anyone hear anything yet?

Does anyone know how Temple notifies? Does the status checker actually say the decision, or just that a decision has been made?

Re: Temple 2010!
In the past it seems that they've shown "accepted" in the status checker and alerted by mail. But I don't know if this year will be the same.anothernancydrew wrote:Does anyone know how Temple notifies? Does the status checker actually say the decision, or just that a decision has been made?

Has anyone called Temple to see when they will send out decisions?

Re: Temple 2010!
I sent them an email a week ago and they said approximately 8-10 weeks from your completion date. Then again, Rutgers-Camden told me the same thing and I got my acceptance email 2 days later. So this is all a black box to me.JessicaD411 wrote:Has anyone called Temple to see when they will send out decisions?

Ugh. At that rate, even having been complete since 10/27, I still probably don't hear until early January (given the holidays). What can they possibly be doing for 8-10 weeks?I sent them an email a week ago and they said approximately 8-10 weeks from your completion date.

Re: Temple 2010!
I have a question with the online status checker for Temple. Does anyone have anything listed under the fees or requirements section? I do not on the Temple page even though I have been complete since Oct 12. On a few other schools status checkers I do. Thanks for any insight

There's nothing listed under "fees" on my status checker - complete since 10/22/09.

I can't remember getting this worked up about an acceptance. I applied to UG and was like meh, I'll know when I know. When I applied for grad school I was like, meh, they'll accept me. But now, I can't stop checking...ever...it's ruling my life.

I'm glad I've finally found this thread and have a community to share my misery. I was hoping reading this thread would assuage my anxiety but all y'all did was make it even worse haha.
Did everyone who applied to Temple apply to Penn State as well?

I'm in PA, so I think I should drive up to both schools and demand a decision!

As much as a I love happy valley, they don't offer a PT program so I only applied to Temple.

Re: Temple 2010!
If anyone has any insight I'd be interested. Is there any sort of rivalry between the Temple and Penn State, i just wonder because they are similarly ranked and so close to one another.

They aren't close to each other and feed two different markets. Penn State serves mostly Harrisburg and Central PA; Temple serves Philly.

I only applied to Temple. Not interested in Penn State.
