What!? Yale is expecting a Hail Mary? Damnit, I specifically told Yale to run the option! I'm hosed.

Yeah. Harvard's letting Joshua Cribbs run the Wildcat nowadays. Yale's got some class.GeePee wrote:Pfft the option is for UG. when did you apply--and when did you get that email?sfdreaming09 wrote:Dear XXXX,
Your application for admission to Yale Law School is complete. We will communicate with you again when a decision has been reached.
Because the entire faculty are involved in reviewing applications, our review process naturally takes longer than that of most schools. The majority of our decisions are made in February, March, and April. We ask that you please do not contact the Admissions Office to inquire about the status of your application; frequent phone and email inquiries delay consideration of applications.
Thank you for your interest in Yale. We look forward to reviewing your application.
Thanks!

I really don't want to have 550 person class sizes.

Yea a 6.8 to 1 teacher-student ratio. Who wants that?!VoidSix wrote:I really don't want to have 550 person class sizes.
Also, I havent decided if I want to waste the money applying yet. Anyone have suggestions on the last date to get your app in? I know Yale doesnt care much about timing, but is early December too late?

I was talking about Harvard's 550 class size. I think their teacher / student ratio is much higher, like 10.5 or something.

Doubtful. I doubt you'll see much of a difference between a November applicant, a December applicant, and a right-around-New-Years applicant.0L Hoping for 1 wrote:Yea a 6.8 to 1 teacher-student ratio. Who wants that?!VoidSix wrote:I really don't want to have 550 person class sizes.

Or at least that's how Asha makes it sound on 203.

Why throw money away on a Yale application? Just whip out a lighter and burn $85. You'll have more fun and if you're anything like most law school applicants your chance of admission to Yale will be pretty much the same whether you pay the application fee or not.

Ok, but how much fun is the Yale app? Sure, the 250 might be fun if you get into it, but it's still an application.Chichaca wrote:...that really doesn't sound fun. But, you know, I'm a girl. Money has all kinds of unusual chemicals in it. Burns in pretty colors. Or so I have been led to believe.

Anyone notice that Yale re-designed its website? It looks a lot better than the old one, IMO.

hmm....yale is the last application to go complete. I got notification that they received my app on October 21, but have heard nothing. How long do I wait before I call to check?

Re: Yale 2010
I got the received email on the same day and the complete email on Oct. 30. I don't think I'd call, but perhaps you could send them an email? They ask applicants not to call about the status of their applications in their complete email.nixxers wrote:hmm....yale is the last application to go complete.
