I emailed them about 10 days after I submitted because I wanted to make sure they got my Dean's Cert. I also asked if I was complete, and they said yes. I still haven't gotten an official "complete" email from them, though.

cool, with that in mind i may just hold off. did they seem annoyed in their e-mail? i just don't want to be memorable in a bad way.

I don't think they were annoyed, but that certainly was one of my concerns. It's best to keep these kinds of emails short, sweet, and polite.

They have a very nice admissions office. I emailed about my Dean's Certificate and they got back to me pretty quickly.

I sent in my dean's certificate in August and submitted around October 5th. I emailed them 2 days ago and they told me my application has been complete since October 8th and was now under review. But I never got any official complete or under review email from them.

+1 They have been very nice. They seem to understand if you are freaking out about complete status, etc.

That's cause they work in paradise. Would be pretty tough to be unhappy at Stanford.

Sorry if this is a dumb question--is there no status checker for Stanford? Also--do you guys know if they will let you know if they don't receive the dean's certification form? I'm a little bit worried about my school's system for getting that in...

so, i finally e-mailed. they were very nice and informed me that my app is complete and under review. seems like no harm in writing if you're polite to them.

oh, and no status check, unfortunately (or fortunately?)

They told me after a week or so that they did not have my dean's certification. So I called my school as told them whats-what. AFter a while Stanford then notified me that they received it.

So yes, they will let you know.

Awesome--thanks! I'm kind of paranoid but definitely don't want to be annoying and bug them about it!

The SLS office is very sweet. As far as I can tell, they never sent a complete email to me. They also have no status checker (which is probably good... because the compulsive checking would drive me more crazy than I already am!) Worried, I emailed them, and they responded right back saying they were sending my app in for review.

So... fingers crossed! I love the people at Stanford.

Hey everyone, I'm weighing in here too. Submitted 11/1, complete 11/17. Stanford is definitely my top choice, so I would SOOOOOO love to get an answer by mid-December!!!
