Well I'll keep an eye out and update the OP as soon as I have a better idea of what it might mean. It's quite possible that they've just changed what the different URs may mean.

Out of curiosity.. I've been f5ing my status checkers daily so I hope I won't have this problem, but what happens if you just don't answer when you get an acceptance call? I assume they'd leave a nice voicemail? I've been getting hammered with spam calls and get a real phone call MAYBE once a month, so I've taken to just never answering an unknown number.

can confirm they leave a nice voicemail. which I actually prefer because otherwise I think that maybe I dreamed the acceptance. plus you can play the voicemail for others to hear, if your into that kind of thing

On every app I've submitted, there's always that question asking whether or not it's ok for the school to send you text messages. Just out of curiosity, has anyone ever had a school contact them via text?

The dean at UC Davis texted me the day after I was accepted. It was something along the lines of "Come to UC Davis!!" Haha.

Oh wow, lol. That's my first time seeing anything like that.

Yeah he threw in a bunch of emojis, too. Kind of cool get a text from the dean but also pretty funny.

Duke acceptance was indeed via e-mail.
Mine was through the PT program. No idea if that makes a difference, but I'd assume not.

Vanderbilt acceptance will say "Decision Mailed" on status checker.

Based on the language in their status checker, I think Columbia sends all decisions by snail mail:

"Please note that once an application is rendered "Complete" per the status checker and accompanying email, no further updates will be communicated via the status checker. Additionally, admissions decisions will not be available online; rather, all applicants will receive their final decisions by mail."

I haven't received my decision yet, though.

Not 100% sure about acceptances but I think CLS sends out decisions via email first. They come in this vague email that says something like "Dear ____, your Columbia Law decision is attached to this email" and the attached letter shows Acceptance/Waitlist/Rejection.

Michigan sends you an email around two weeks after acceptance

Cornell sends you an email pretty quickly after you submit all your need and merit finaid application materials (you and your parents tax returns, CSS PROFILE, FAFSA, scholarship application)

Duke requests that you submit CSSPROFILE and submit their scholarship form online, and then schedule an interview. Notification comes via official letter is what I was told.

It's been a big scholarship week for me!

Minnesota called then snail mailed me my scholarship decision. It was about 6 weeks after my decision, but it may be quicker notification now that it's later in the cycle. Also their area code is 612.

BU's area code is 627 in my experience and I'll testify to another instance of the status checker updating to decision made AFTER the call.

BC is reportedly sending out scholly notifications in Feb.

Haha sorry I wasn't trying to be annoying if it came off that way just the penn waitlist and both offers came in all on one day and my Duke interview was the day before so it was a whirlwind lol and made everything seem real
