also got one of these letters, but from a partner at a different firm. definitely a unique situation, in a good way thoughbrinicolec wrote:Yeah, that is weird lol.monotonemr wrote:Just got a letter from the managing partner at Sutherland Asbill & Brennan encouraging me to apply to Emory. Thought it was a little strange cause I only ever got these types of letters from the law schools themselves and not the alumni.

Anyone else getting an absurd amount of email from Emory that isn't a decision? I feel like they're attempting to slowly drive me insane.

It might be a NYC thing. I realized they're messages every time a rep is at an event. Having a home base means there are quite a few of these events on the regular.brinicolec wrote:I haven't been getting any emails from themS.Picquery wrote:Anyone else getting an absurd amount of email from Emory that isn't a decision? Next time Ethan is in town, I'll make sure to post it here, then. Sorry about that. There was a networking fair at the NYC Bar. :/Thomas Hagan, ESQ. wrote:Dammit, I live in NYCS.Picquery wrote:It might be a NYC thing. I realized they're messages every time a rep is at an event. Based on LSN, the first reported acceptance with a decision date updated was actually today, although there had been a couple rejections in December and like... September.pizzagoblin wrote:So when are we expecting decisions?

I wonder if anyone has ever emailed/called the Admissions Office to ask why they didn't get an email for the status checker

Did you guys all get automated waivers? I requested a waiver this cycle (got an auto one last cycle and was accepted) but I can't get the waiver code to work. I emailed them back a few days ago about the issue but haven't heard back, just trying to figure out if this is an issue other people have had.

You cannot reuse old waivers, you need a new one each year.capnobvious123 wrote:Did you guys all get automated waivers? Doesn't sound like OP is reusing an old waiver, but having trouble with the one he requested and, presumably, acquired.S.Picquery wrote:You cannot reuse old waivers, you need a new one each year.capnobvious123 wrote:Did you guys all get automated waivers? Ah, oops. Thought OP meant that they couldn't get the auto one from last year to work. But, I would just call the ofice. Depending on which address you used, the recipient may not be in (many of the adcomms are travelling and still doing recruitment work for Emory right now).thistlybrick wrote:Doesn't sound like OP is reusing an old waiver, but having trouble with the one he requested and, presumably, acquired.
