My status checker says "Decision Made" as of today and "please allow 3 business days for a decision to be communicated via email."

+1 at least they don't roll you to RD and then you have to wait again- I am pretty sure if you are dinged for ED and they are going to admit you RD they do it in the same email.carasrook wrote:+1, and i applied ED for the presidential scholarship, though i'm 99.9% sure i will not get it. hoping it's just a ding on the ED scholarship, not a total dingRich Uncle Skeleton wrote:+1fazzvm56 wrote:My status checker says "Decision Made" as of today and "please allow 3 business days for a decision to be communicated via email."

Also got the decision made update today. Not sure why it's not just an instant email? I guess I'll be patient lol.

Also got the "decision made" message. RD applicant. Any idea if the decision is snail-mailed?

Yeah I was thinking the same thing. I remember last cycle hearing from them around 5:30 pm EST so still hoping for today since I still don't understand what would delay the email...PDX4343 wrote:Also got the decision made update today. Re: George Washington c/o 2020 Applicants (2016-2017)
Anybody know if scholarship info typically comes in the initial acceptance?
ETA: Looking at last year's thread, it looks like some people did get their scholarship info with the initial acceptance email.

Ah, just saw that as well. Thanks for the tip! Best of luck, everyone. Last year's thread shows people got the emails around 5:30 p.m. on the same day their statuses updated to "decision made." there isn't room for it on the application, so I guess we can't write one? there's the 300 word optional statement but I'm using that as a diversity statement20171lhopeful wrote:any RD applicants submitting Why X essays?

Status Checker updated here, too. Don't want to jinx anything, but the data on MyLSN from 2013-2015 shows the first denials and waitlists going out in December. Only acceptances in October and November. The sample size is super small, but that gives me glimmer of a positive feeling as I sit here and obsessively refresh my e-mail.

I agree. I don't think they'd be sending out denials/WL on their first day of decisions unless your numbers were completely out of range obvious deny (like under both 25ths or something), but pretty much not basing that on anything lolmp68 wrote:Status Checker updated here, too. Re: George Washington c/o 2020 Applicants (2016-2017)
I am my own worst enemy... digging through last year's thread on this site, it looks like a bunch of folks got denied and WL'd before the first batch of acceptances went out. Seems like a unusual approach.

Seriously? What are you waiting for?
