I got that e-mail, and had recently sent in notice that I was declining my spot at Stanford, so I think that e-mail was a mistake of some kind.

I called. They said they don't really provide confirmation for the waitlist response form through the mail. I'm jealous of the people that just emailed "put me on the waitlist" AND got confirmation. Like, why couldn't they list emailing them as an option in the letter? LOL

The Facebook group has gone down just a bit. It is now at 247.

Been informed that there are 246 members in the group. Doesn't seem like they're kicking people out of the group this year. Anyone have any insights?

It appears that last year some Facebook members committed elsewhere but were still in the group. Not sure when they were kicked out of it but maybe it takes some time for them to be removed?

Hopefully we see some movement soon since Harvard appears to be moving.

This time last year (Jun 3) they had their first LLM movement. First JD movement wasnt until Saturday, June 6. So, first Saturday in June...today?!

Just checked in with an admit a few minutes ago. 244. What's our take on this? They just aren't culling the group this year?

well that's disappointing. but its still early I think. I think we may see some movement as June progresses (I'm hoping at least). Second deposits are coming up for a few other schools and Harvard seems to be moving on their waitlist in the last week or so. Schools should be making more moves in the coming weeks.

Also, there's a chance some of the 244 have already decided to attend elsewhere and have yet to be removed from the Facebook group.

OP can we get a new poll (maybe status->pending/wl-admit/wl-reject, etc)? That way folks can anonymously update.
