Waitlist page just updated

"Waitlist FAQ

We have concluded making waitlist offers for the summer, and are now beginning to evaluate the waitlist with the intention of making a few fall-start offers. We will contact everyone we're considering for admission by telephone or email. If we make an offer, candidates will have two weeks to consider before making a commitment.

We have begun releasing a number of people from the waitlist whom we know we can’t admit. In early June, we will be sending an email to everyone on the waitlist to assess their level of ongoing interest. We expect that will result in a further narrowing of the waitlist pool, as some people will have made firm plans at another law school.

We will continue to update this page regularly with information about our plans and progress, and you should feel free to provide our office with any additional information you think would be useful. We very much appreciate your patience. As always, you are welcome to contact us with any questions or additional information, by email to law.jd.admissions@umich.edu or by telephone at 734.764.0537."

got a phone call last Friday ask if I am still interested. Got the offer this Friday via phone call. Really excited to attend!

It is a mass update but don't despair yet. Remember June 15 is when they become aware of double deposits and when their "second wave" happens. Go ahead and despair after late June.
