What're you guys writing about exactly in your LOCI? Are you talking about why you want to go (as in, which specific programs/professors/clinics interest you) or something else?

I'm taking my inspiration from Nietzsche and titling my LOCI "Why I am so Dope".

I'm a pretty non traditional applicant so I'm going to discuss what programs/professors/clinics interest me and what I could bring to Harvard that no one else can. Hopefully I can make them think they'll be the ones missing out if they don't admit me rather than the other way around.

Checking in! Is anyone else irrationally paranoid that they may have accidentally clicked the button to decline the waitlist rather than accept it? :?

haha yeah I was paranoid about that. Even made a screenshot to look at later to know that I clicked the right thing.

The June LSAT - insane to consider taking it, or nah? I've been teaching the test since my 175 and bet I could squeak out another ~3 points, but, aside from the hard risk of doing worse, I don't want to come off as bananas.

+1. I was considering the same since I started scoring 178s on practice tests right before the October test (ended up with a 172). My concern is that retaking the test might make it seem like I just didn't submit the best possible application the first time around. Anyone have other thoughts?
Splitter with a 175 though PT average is around 177-178. I'm just worried about scoring lower... which is said to be fine, but I worry about the softest of factors this late in the game

I was considering this for a while, but I think the only reason would be to add something to a LOCI.

anyone with an lsat of 170 and above, I think, would be crazy to retake. That LSAT score will not keep you from getting off the waitlist. It was obviously the other parts of your application the prevented you from getting admitted. I actually think that even if you raised your score by a couple of points they would think why did this person retake the exam after already getting a 17x. I would look at what you could do to enhance other parts of your application-letters or other unique factors.

I'm on the waitlist with a 16x so I'm also considering retaking in June. I think i have a lot of room for improvement since clearly my LSAT was a weak factor in my application

Damn that's too bad. I mean I guess there's still no loss in taking it right? Could set you up for a better cycle next year if you decide to sit out with a better score

That is my exact logic! I think I am going to put a deposit down at a school this year, take the June LSAT, evaluate my score, and then make a tough decision as to whether or not I would go in the fall or reapply. Plus, if we survive the waitlist that long, I'm sure HLS would be willing to discuss our options with us.

So I started working on this today and could not get it right... too many elements I don't understand (I'm not a law school statistics jockey so don't know what a lot of these things actually mean).

Anyone else able to get this off the ground?

Seriously? What are you waiting for?

Now there's a charge.
