I got an email today acknowledging my response to the feeler email that was sent out last Friday, does that mean I'm pretty much out of this wave?

I got the same. Not sure what it means.

Yeah, I didn't know the best way to phrase it. But yes, I was admitted off the waitlist well before the deposit deadline. I didn't realize people were expecting a "wave" right now, so I don't want anyone to think they missed it.

I did not receive a confirmation that they received my response to the feeler, so naturally I am freaking out haha. Should I reach out? I don't want to seem obnoxious, but it would also be awful if they missed my email and I got taken off the list. Wondering if everyone got the email you're describing.

I wouldn't worry just yet. I sent my email early in the afternoon on Friday and didn't hear back until after 3 on Monday.

Thanks for the info. The school had warned us it was going to be a pretty quiet waitlist cycle, and judging by the lack of activity in the thread today that would appear to be correct. Glad to know they actually let some people in this week though.

UVA has been pretty clear with admits since around March that they weren't giving out any more merit aid. Not trying to dash your hopes and I hope that I am wrong for you all you guys but that's been the word from the school for a while.

I figured as much, but there's always a chance that someone with a good chunk of money withdrawing and UVA redistributing to those off the waitlist. Not holding my breath though

Just wanted to let you guys know that I told UVA I was deferring, so there is one spot for sure open now. They even mentioned that they wanted my decision so they could notify the person on the waitlist. I hope one of you get it!
