Waitlisted at George Washington - Class of 2019 Forum

Was waitlisted back in mid-January, but received an offer via email today. There was no mention of a scholarship though, so I don't think I'll be attending. Anyhow, just wanted to encourage those of you who are really set on GW that there is still hope!

Did you send a LOCI or anything after being WL'ed? And can I ask about your numbers?

I received an email a couple days ago asking if I was still interested, and that if I was that I should send in an LOCI. I had planned on sending one anyway, but I went along and did as the email instructed since they wanted the letter by the end of the week. Sent it in and literally the next day I received the offer.

My stats are 160/3.74.

I don't think so, but I'm not entirely sure. My offer email made no mention of any scholarship money. I proposed this question in the GW applicants thread, but nobody has given me an answer as of yet. I'm assuming that since it wasn't mentioned in the offer that I'm looking at sticker price.

Nothing on my end. But I will say I have heard that not much will happen until after the second deposit on June 1.

GW sends the $$ with the offer email, at least that's how mine came.

Relatively surprised by the lack of early movement (at least from TLSers) given the list's size and "at least 50+ will be taken off the waitlist" remark in the initial waitlist email.

I haven't heard anything but I emailed them yesterday and they said after June 1st they will be taking more people off the waitlist.

Accepted from waitlist by email today! No scholarship offer. Initial seat deposit due June 3rd so maybe more movement after that date for other deserving waiters! PM me for stats.

Though it's probably not 100% representative of the exact number of its class size, I saw the fb group has 386 members. Considering the fact that last year's was 473, can we make any assumptions at all based on this? That they're taking a much smaller class size this year, or they've barely gone to the waitlist but plan to accept a huge wave post-June 1 deposit deadline ( ), etc. ?

I don't think anyone should read too far into this, there are a lot of people who haven't joined the group yet because it wasn't super easy to find. Also, there are quite a few folks still on there that have clearly committed elsewhere.
