Re: Temple c/o 2019 Applicants
My app went complete on 9/23/15 (I applied as soon as the application became available because Temple was my top choice). There has been absolutely no change since. I see that a lot of people has already heard back from Admissions. I emailed them a week ago and they basically told me the admissions process takes a while (But c'mon, it's been almost 4 months already). I wonder what this could possibly mean for me. Any idea or thought on this unprecedented wait in the history of decision rendering....?

Sorry, that's so frustrating! I'm a true splitter in all sense... have below 25th lsat and above 75th gpa for most schools I applied to. I had my recommenders write letters specifically for Temple, so I was hoping that they would take that into consideration.marisacb1012 wrote:Sorry, that's so frustrating! I'm in a similar boat as you, just slightly opposite: 161/3.0 LSAC GPA. I'm hoping my WE tips the scales in my favor but you never know. Good luck!

I am similar - just below 25th GPA and well above 75th LSAT. App complete late Nov and heard back this week. Scholarship offer came later in the day. 9/23 is a long time, but if admissions told you to keep waiting I don't think it's anything to be concerned about.tovictory wrote:

Does anyone know anything about Temple offering travel vouchers? I got the full Beasley so I would really like to go visit the campus this spring. Thanks!

Re: Temple c/o 2019 Applicants
How many times were people's statuses changed? Mine still says complete but the date was updated to 1/26, first movement since 1/8. I really really dont want to wait another 5 weeks or whatever....I'm starting to hear back from other similar schools but Temple is my top because Philly > everything....sillly Temple just give me some answers!

I just checked this thread for the same reason... I went complete 1/7 and now is says I went complete 1/27. I do not think it will be another five week wait. I think its a good sign.

Email yesterday afternoon- received the Law Faculty scholarship. Is anyone definitely accepting their offer? I'm debating between here and Drexel. It's hard to justify $30k in loans and an extra year in school.

Re: Temple c/o 2019 Applicants
I wouldn't say definitely accepting, but it's gonna take my other schools im waiting to hear back from to convince me with scholarship offers to choose something else over Temple. I don't know what you're interested in, but it sound like you are looking to stay in Philly. I think most people would say Temple > Drexel, mainly because of the alumni base. Temple law dominates philly from what I hear. And if you're going to be graduating with just 30K in loans, that's a reasonably light load to manage compared to people who pay sticker and are left with $200,000 to pay back.princeofmirkwood wrote:Email yesterday afternoon- received the Law Faculty scholarship. Even though I have not heard back from Temple and your withdrawal would probably help me, I think you would be making a mistake going to Drexel over Temple. There are a lot of people taking out 30k a year in loans... I would consider a temple law degree with just 30k total loans as a gift!
