Haven't decided. I have full tuition at both. From what I hear, temple is much more esteemed at top firms in the city and is of course higher ranked. I would prefer the villanova's campus. I think people would think I'm stupid if I didn't go to temple over nova though with same money at both. What made you pick nova?

Haven't decided. I'm in a tough spot deciding between these regional PA schools with full tuition and lower T14 with minimal $. Might try to squeeze some stipend money out of these PA schools, which would probably tip the scales, but we'll see if any of them will bite.

it comes down to personal preference. The law building and people I met at Nova helped convince me and I clerked with an attorney this summer who was convincing that in Philly Temple and Villanova are on very equal footing despite rankings. Villanova is working hard to climb up the ranks and it shows. The campus is a plus and I have family members as law school alums. Have you visited both?tu2009 wrote:Haven't decided. I haven't visited Villanova but I went to temple undergrad. I plan on going to temples open house in March. Villanova doesn't have any weekend visitation and I am a teacher and have no days off so I'm not sure how I'm going to work out a visit. I would like to make a decision prior to march though because my lease is up June 1 and I need to know where to lookNova2016 wrote:it comes down to personal preference. Hello everyone, does Villanova offer scholarships at the time of acceptance or in a letter afterwards?

I'm in the same boat as you. I think Nova and Temple have pretty similar placement in top firms. Seems like the top 10% of both schools have good chances at big law. I'm leaning Nova because it's closer to my house, the campus is nice, and with a strong alumni base and funding, I think the school is on the rise.tu2009 wrote:Haven't decided. Ahh, I was WL'd with my 153 LSAT, but should get in with my 158 LSAT now. I've already decided to hold off and apply early next cycle (and prob retake LSAT in Sept, b/c why not?).
Nova with substantial $$ is prob my #1, but also applying to Temple, PSU, Drexel, Pitt, Duquesne, URichmond, GSU, and possibly UNC depending on my next LSAT (oh, and I deferred at Akron till next year, around a full-ride as a just-in-case).
The question is, will Nova be back-to-back college basketball champions this year?! Penn State (my alma mater) has a head coach from the Jay Wright coaching tree, along with a program-best recruiting class. Excited for the future of college hoops in PA
