Anyone else on this thread admitted? Received my packet in the mail two days ago!

I am, 12/16! No packet yet though Was there scholly info?

That's the same day I was admitted! Packet didn't arrive until the day after Christmas, though. And yes, there was scholarship info!

Accepted! Went complete 12/02 and accepted via status checker on 1/29. Waiting on scholarship info via mail, blizzard here slowed that process.

I don't know how they negotiate, but I'm going to try in March. I might be pushing my luck asking for a COL stipend but it probably can't hurt!

I don't know how they negotiate, but I'm going to try in March. I might be pushing my luck asking for a COL stipend but it probably can't hurt!

I think 1 or 2 people got more than full tuition last year, but with your LSAT score you have a chance

I got my acceptance in the mail to Syracuse today. Go ORANGE! I got a 15k scholarship, but I have 100 GI Bill and the Cuse covers all costs with the YRP, if I decided to attend.

I have been a big fan of the Cuse since I was a kid, but I don't think I can ignore 35 spots on the USNWR and decide to go there, when I got a full ride via a better ranked program.

I am a bit torn though. Not too much but enough for me not to immediately withdraw like I did with San Diego, Seton Hall, and St. Johns.

I am also in a Syracuse! I would not worry as much about the 30 stop drop in USNWR because any ranking outside the top 25 is almost useless anyway. You should compare the career outcomes and look at the standard 509 sheet to see where the 2013 and 2014 class employment was 10 months after graduation.

Long story short, especially cause you are going for free, Syracuse is a great school for you if you want to live and work in upstate New York or very close by the rest of your life. Options are even slim to none in New York City because of the competition from NYU, Columbia, Harvard, Yale, and just about every other T14 school.

Free law school is a great choice, but I warn you not to base anything off of what the US News has to say. Base your decision on #1: employment outlook and #2 location.

I got an initial 30K and used an offer of 40K from another school as a leverage. It worked well and Cuse amended the amount to 40K.
