Checking in. 158 LSAT and 3.8 GPA
also Underrepresented minority but I'm not sure if that'll make a difference or not.
Probably won't get in but it would be lovely to go.

Does everyone have checkboxes under the requirements section on the online checker?

Submitted on the 8th, status checker said I was complete on the 9th. Checked today and it still says complete, but now the date is the 25th (today). Does this mean anything?

Okay, so this is either very good news or very bad news for me. :Oatlantiz wrote:same here, complete October 21 and no change yetnicola16 wrote:No change for me. I am not a strong number applicant, only with median LSAT and international, so you can expect something goodlolRCscrewyou wrote:Okay, so this is either very good news or very bad news for me. :Oatlantiz wrote:same here, complete October 21 and no change yetnicola16 wrote:No change for me. Well, I'm in their 25th percentile for LSAT and 75th percentile for GPA, so it really could go either way for me.atlantiz wrote:I am not a strong number applicant, only with median LSAT and international, so you can expect something goodlolRCscrewyou wrote:Okay, so this is either very good news or very bad news for me. :Oatlantiz wrote:same here, complete October 21 and no change yetnicola16 wrote:No change for me. Re: USC c/o 2019 Applicants Thread (2015-2016)
My recommendation is getting a roommate and sharing a 2-bedroom place. Near campus, that can be $850-$1,000 per person per month. There is also a FB page, a closed group for USC UG and grad students, where people are looking for sublets, which can be as low as around $600. You can request access to the USC FB housing page when you get your @usc.edu address.still wrote:you should definitely applyScalvert wrote:I haven't applied yet, but am considering it. (GPA 75th, LSAT a little below median.)sdphill wrote:Hi, everyone! I'm a recent grad from USC Law. If you all have any questions, please feel free to reach out to me privately or on here. I will try to check back often.
How expensive is it to live near campus? How awful is traffic if an apt near campus is unaffordable? Is grad student housing available and is it decent?
i'm pretty confident you'll get a very good scholarship offer as well.
cant answer your housing questions. you should pm LawsRUs she's a 1L and really nice and informative
Living near campus can be affordable, but if it becomes unaffordable for you, the traffic can be pretty awful. But people usually figure out when is the best time to get to and leave the campus--you learn to get around it.
The law school has its own residence hall, called the Terrace, which can be an option for you. I've heard it's okay. It can be decent if you are looking for a more social atmosphere.
I can try to answer other questions after the finals are over.

Re: USC c/o 2019 Applicants Thread (2015-2016)
That's a good question. The neighborhood can get sketchy, especially at night. I don't recommend living south of the campus. I would definitely visit the area hopefully once you receive your acceptance to note how safe the neighborhood is that you are thinking of living in. Also, check the area out at night time, since the same neighborhood can be quite different in the morning and at night.nicola16 wrote:If there are any lurking alums, could you speak to the USC neighborhood? I've heard some people talk about safety concerns. I haven't gotten to visit the area, since it's expensive for me to fly to LA when I haven't received a decision yet. Would be grateful for any input, since I love the academics at USC!
Having said that, there are precautions that USC has taken. At night, the surrounding area is patrolled by security guards. Patrol Zone. There is also a transportation system called the Campus Cruiser and a supplemental Uber program. More information here. The law school always has a security guard inside the building, who walk around to make sure that the building is secure. I found them to be very nice and friendly as well.
Good luck!
edit: You guys can also pm other USC TLSers. I've met almost all of them, and they are really nice.

Does anyone's status checker say anything past the "complete" stage?

My checker has been committee first read since 11/10, I applied ED so that may have something to do with it.sbenj wrote:Does anyone's status checker say anything past the "complete" stage?
