Georgetown is receptive to fee waiver requests, by the way!

That's... discouraging. I am not that snowflake.urbanist11 wrote:According to Georgetown's 509 report they gave 1 out of 1,694 full time students a full scholarship. That must have been a very special student. I see why they have a reputation of being stingy.

I plan on applying. I toured the campus nearly a year ago, while visiting family in DC. The Law Campus is great; all inclusive, in a great location, and the facilities are all in pristine condition. They just added a gym in the student center that is for Law students only and is very decent.

Agree with Gray - I ED'd and went in with most of my tuition covered by the GI Bill (and GULC knew this). I still asked for some money and they gave it to me (yes you can ED and get money - but they won't offer). The key to GULC money is asking and negotiating - you have to ask and be persistent. Remember once they accept you - they aren't going to rescind - so who cares if you annoy them a little by begging for more money. Keep asking until they give you a big "NO" with a bunch of exclamation points after!!!!!!! (or they say final offer)Gray wrote:I know of multiple people who got $150K and several who got >$130K last cycle - not a full scholly, but pretty good. They seemed less stingy than we expected. TBH I think they realized that people with good numbers need a bigger incentive to attend than just "Georgetown is PREFTIGIOUS"urbanist11 wrote:According to Georgetown's 509 report they gave 1 out of 1,694 full time students a full scholarship. Oh and there are 2 pots of money - merit based and need based aid. So if you and your parents are poor - you might get more than you think.

All of the super fire food trucks that serve judiciary square are less than a five minute walk from campus. I live about a block from the school on the Chinatown side and haven't felt unsafe at all. I am originally from St. Louis though - so my frame of reference might be all jacked up.urbanist11 wrote:Interesting I thought the location sucked, though that was probably ~8 years ago.
