reasons why you would not attend if you are accepted? I think the only way I wouldn't go is if I got into Yale as well.

I've wanted to attend HLS for so long that I can't imagine me turning them down if accepted. But all that aside I do think that I'd have to truly consider attending elsewhere if I got a full ride.

Why HLS and not YLS or SLS?

Acceptance at H probably means $$$ from other schools
+1
I should be able to get the total need based aid, which leaves me with I think around 150,000 in debt. The other t-6 even on a full ride would be about 60,000 for living expenses. I personally wouldn't go below t-6 even for a full ride if I get a t 3 admit, a t6 full ride would be tempting though.

I don't see the benefit of going to T3 (unless it's Yale, cause come on, dat prestige) over most other T14s that offer you money. They offer you better chances at clerkships, but it's still a crap shoot and still not impossible from the lower T14. It's like paying $100,000 extra for a lottery ticket with marginally better odds.
T3 you can practice any market you want and almost any job, the other schools are more limited. But it's also just personal preference.

You know, a few months ago I was assigned to investigate something sketchy for work (which is a normal assignment in the military). One of the people I had to interview was a high schooler. When I asked her if the suspect had contacted her over social media, like Facebook, she recoiled and said that only old people use Facebook. She then listed like eight websites I had never heard of that the kids use instead.

I just looked at her like, I'm not that freaking old...

Well, I guess I don't have to worry about my brother friending me on Facebook, then.

I don't know when it happened. I only graduated college a few years ago, so I still think of myself as a spritely young man. Like, when I hear that one of my friends is having a kid, I'll still shake my head and think 'babies having babies.' It doesn't seem right that my dad had three kids already when he was my age...

I'm not keen on the west coast and I've never truly thought I could get into Yale + I don't think they look favourably on retakes. Also I'm not from the US so one day when I want to go back to that small European country I grew up in I think that a degree from H would help me more than one from S. I could be absolutely wrong here and having to choose between the two would be a nice problem to have tbh.

Seriously? What are you waiting for?

Now there's a charge.
