I snail mailed a LOCI last week and haven't heard anything back. Think it would be a good idea to email just making sure they got it?

Wouldn't hurt but it might be early. I'd wait until the end of the week. Big places like schools have sorting centers that can take a day or so to get it to its target office.Decisions Decisions wrote:I snail mailed a LOCI last week and haven't heard anything back. It also depends on where you emailed it from. Detroit will take a lot less time than California. Sometimes I mail things from Chicago to KC that take over a week...have to love USPS.rion91 wrote:Wouldn't hurt but it might be early. I'd wait until the end of the week. Hey guys - any advice on what to ask/say when meeting with admissions? Going to meet with them soon and am nervous.

Someone should create a poll so we can get an idea of what folks on the waitlist are planning to do.

The frustrating part is I can't tell if it was YP or a legit WL.

Bumping this. April 30th is next Thursday! Anyone want to speculate on if they'll be taking folks off the WL for summer start?

I think it's actually very likely a few will be offered summer admission. Then again, this is assuming that April 30th is the deposit deadline for summer as well as fall. Can anyone confirm this?MadwomanintheAttic wrote:Bumping this. April 30th is next Thursday! Anyone want to speculate on if they'll be taking folks off the WL for summer start?

From the WaitList FAQ site:
Our first deposit deadline of April 30 is now upon us. We are currently processing the deposits we've received and determining the extent of our immediate waitlist needs, but we anticipate making up to 10 offers, mostly for fall. Orientation for summer will begin on May 26 (the Tuesday after Memorial Day); if you are interested in being considered for summer, please reach out and let us know! We will contact everyone we're considering for admission by telephone, unless an applicant has provided other instructions. If we make an offer, candidates will have two weeks to consider before making a commitment.

Re: Michigan Law Waitlist c/o 2018
Received a voicemail from admissions today asking if I was still interested in starting the summer program. After freaking out for a good ten minutes I called them back and confirmed that I was and chatted with Joe Pollak for a bit about Michigan/Ann Arbor. Received another call about an hour later with an admission offer for the summer session along with some scholarship money. I told them last week in a LOCI that I was heading out to Italy for a week but can still be in contact by email. Have some decisions to make on the 9 hour flight now

Re: Michigan Law Waitlist c/o 2018
New update:
Now that our first deposit deadline of April 30 has passed, we are sure that we will be making as many as 10 offers for the fall. (Our summer section has no immediate needs, but if you have a particular interest in being considered for summer, you are welcome to reach out and let us know!) We will contact everyone we're considering for admission by telephone, unless an applicant has provided other instructions. If we make an offer, candidates will have two weeks to consider before making a commitment.
Can I interpret "as many as" as possibly more than 10!? Give me something!
