For the most part. Mine went to decision rendered today (finally!) and my letter also came in today.
So I think it just depends how soon they get to update after sending. I'm assuming they sent out my letter over the weekend since I got it the same day my status changed.

There was nothing in there about scholarships though. Does that mean they are not offering me anything?

Did they call or email you, or did you just receive the acceptance in the mail?

It was the letter and LMU packet in the mail.

Mine said decision rendered, then got the packet two days later. No email.

Friend of mine got both in one day a couple weeks ago.

Well I did early decision, so it didn't take long for me. Once your status changes to decision rendered, you should get your letter in the mail shortly though. Unfortunately, mine was rendered Dec 23, so the letter got lost most likely because of Christmas chaos. But once the status changes, it shouldn't take too long. I'm not sure about decision in general though for regular applicant.

Not yet, but I send a negotiation email a few days ago using USD. Hoping they can bump it up a little bit.

They actually offered me more than USD, so sadly I can't use that.

I didn't to apply to any schools around the same ranking as Loyola, going to be hard to negotiate the scholarship. I got a full ride offer from CA Western but they are not even ranked.

On a side note, I toured the campus a couple of weeks ago and I am not very fond of the location. Not sure if I can handle driving the 10/405 again to commute from the west side after having done that for my undergrad.

Yea I met one of the professors too and she was raving about the school, said she had taught at USC and other schools but she likes Loyola the most - seemed genuine. I am going to consider moving closer to the school but it would be much cheaper to stay at home.

Oh, well that's interesting to know! The professors seem pretty genuine, so hopefully it ends up being a great experience for us if we both end up there! :]

Email came in this morning. The status checker still hasnt changed.

I sent a complete application on Jan. 7 and still have not received a decision. Already been accepted at Pepperdine, Utah & Seattle with some financial aid, and I applied to those schools afterwards. Anyone else frustrated with a long wait from Loyola?

I applied early December and didn't get my acceptance with scholarship info via snail mail until two weeks ago. Major lag. But worth the wait!
