I'll try not to wear out the refresh on my email. I have changed review status and date 3 times now, most recently yesterday. I also am ~75% LSAT and <25% GPA with extensive work experience, 2.26 GPA from engineering a decade ago, but nearly 4.0 now, and a reference letter to the Dean from a major contributor to the school. I really hope that low GPA doesn't kill my chances.

FYI I submitted at the start of this month, if that helps.

The LSAC admissions index lists Boulder as one of 3 schools that use degree GPA instead of cumulative, has this been significant for anyone? I've got 3.62 cumulative but 3.89 degree, applying this week.

That would make my whole year if it is true. I'm at a 2.92 cumulative, thanks to not knowing when to stop with my engineering degree, and 3.96 degree. Would that mean you fall under the degree GPA on the matrix or that you are in the more likely to get in category under the cumulative GPA?

To clarify: "degree" in this context means "degree granting institution." I failed a couple classes at a community college, but have straight A's since transferring to another school. Cumulative takes those failed courses into account, but degree wouldn't, therefore I'd be more likely to get in if they do indeed go by degree and not cumulative.

I'm assuming they're actually using a holistic approach and would consider upward trends. I left school with a sub 2... joined the navy and have scratched and clawed upwards [online at the same school], but i'm still sub 3 and got in. My example may be a bad one because of my real unique softs but I'd think your bad CC grades wouldn't ruin your overall situation. Good luck.
