I know caesar already posted, but if you want you can ask me stuff. Current 1L.
whats the COL like?
Pretty cheap for me. Have a two person condo that is a 5min walk from campus and pay ~$500 for house, electric and internet.
Mine is similar, except you got a better deal dude.
My rent is around $450 (I share a two bedroom with someone). Electric and water is about $50 per month (again, split two ways). Cable/internet is about what you would expect. About $50 split.

I forgot when I went under review but I think I heard within 2 weeks. I went complete in early November, heard back in late January and heard about scholarship in February fwiw.

I just got my MA from Wake. Similarly cheap COL - I pay $667 a month split 2 ways for a 2 bedroom/2 full bath apartment. The biggest complaint folks have is that parking on Wake's campus is really limited and expensive - lots of people choose to live in apartments that are on the campus-run bus route to avoid paying the parking fee. The buses are kind of awesome, run every 30 minutes - check out Wake's website if you're at all interested in which complexes are along the bus line.

This may have been answered already, but is "Application Complete, Ready for Review" different than, "Under Review" (i.e. are they two different status possibilities)?

Yeah, there's a "file is under review" status.

I visited the campus a few weeks ago while I was in the area and the Associate Director for Admissions said they would be sending out their first round of acceptances beginning the second week of December and that they wouldn't be sending out any rejection letters until after the new year. Just so everyone can relax a little bit. She also said the first round of admits (going out Dec-Feb) would get scholarship information shortly following their acceptance, but the later acceptances would have to wait until after the first deposit to get scholarship info.

I really hate waiting. Been at 'under review' since 11/18, and it's killing me.

It's nice of them to save rejection letters for after New Years, at least Christmas won't be ruined!

I think last year it was e-mail.
Does this mean I should stop obsessively rechecking the status checker?

I think it updates really quickly, when I checked it was updated and then my phone buzzed me with the e-mail.
Edit: Last year.

So I just (obsessively) rechecked the status checker, and I can't remember if it always had "Admission Fee, Tuition Fee, Scholarship Amount, etc" in the Fees box. Swear it wasn't there. Is that new? A good sign? Or am I just losing my memory at 21?

Those have been on mine since the day the status checker became available. Anticipation does some weird things to your memory!
