Is anyone else having issues with the status checker? I set up my password on Monday, and when I tried to check in again yesterday and today it wasn't working. Scoured their website for the status checker link (I've had this issue with Vandy too) but couldn't find it. I know a decision hasn't been made, I was just curious if app is complete.

It took me like 3 days to find the link. It is somewhere under "apply for JD program" or something along those lines. You really have to look for it. The link they sent me in the email doesn't work.LawGirlAtx wrote:Is anyone else having issues with the status checker? Thanks! They really do hide that sucker. I poked around the website for like 15 minutes and couldn't find anything.vdh2102 wrote:It took me like 3 days to find the link. I know this has been asked, but not much of a response... There seems to be no way to fit a separate "WHY GW" essay into the application. Should I assume they do not want one, or is there something I'm missing?

The one in the email doesn't work if you click it because (at least in my email) it is split over 2 lines. If you copy and paste the whole thing into a new browser tab it works!vdh2102 wrote:It took me like 3 days to find the link. How does the status checker work for GWU? I got a second complete date today and am just curious what all their statuses mean.

I don't think they mean anything particular (at least it doesn't appear that way from what I recall reading in the Expecting thread). I was complete on 10/13 and got a second date change on 10/27. Sometime in between I got a postcard in the mail encouraging ED... which is how I had applied already... So I think it's just their system updating itself.RaiderRed wrote:How does the status checker work for GWU? I got a second complete date today and am just curious what all their statuses mean.

Sending it in a box instead of an envelope = they mean business.ArcticDeckie wrote:Received the admit package today, it's pretty serious.

In via email this afternoon! Any word on whether they send scholarship info in the mailed package or do they wait to tell about that until the end of the cycle (please no)?

no idea when scholarship info comes - it wasn't in the package, at least for me. I'll look at last year's thread tonight if no one else has by that time.vdh2102 wrote:In via email this afternoon! Those who are getting decisions... Do you get both the email and the package or are some of you only getting one or the other? Can anyone offer info on your timeline and whether you were ED or RD?
Thank you!
Thank you!

There was no scholarship information in the package I received a few weeks ago that I can recall. I inquired about scholarship information with the GWU rep at the Atlanta LSAC forum, and she told me that they'll most likely start scholarship deliberations right after Thanksgiving. I imagine that's when we'll start hearing things.vdh2102 wrote:In via email this afternoon! Congrats to all of you who have been accepted so far! I'm wrapping up the app and hoping to send this week.
Did any of you successfully solicit a fee waiver? I didn't receive one via email, so I solicited one but am waiting to hear back. I'm slightly below the GPA and LSAT medians, so I'm unsure how likely it is, but figured there's no harm in asking.

Does anyone know if they wait to respond to ED until the deadline on Jan 30 or do they give responses earlier?

I got my mailed package on Saturday. They definitely win for fanciest admit package-- it's hard to describe but it's this hard cover book thing that you open and it has a ribbon you pull to get your letter and the informational booklet out.niplomo wrote:Nothing after my initial date change...
