Re: University of Georgia Law c/o 2018
I'm still waiting on my transcript to be sent to LSAC....Any one know how long it takes for schools to receive your report once CAS is complete? Is it electronic, so basically instant? Or does LSAC's CAS mail out the reports. I'm beginning to worry about that November 15th deadline for all documents, especially since the transcript is all I'm waiting on.

I am pretty sure that it happens once LSAC has it. If that is the last thing you are waiting on, and everything else is complete, you should be fine. But what is Nov 15? ED?

Hey checking in! In via status checker 10/1, received a letter in the mail as well as a call last week. Was told scholarship decisions will begin to be made in late November.

Was in attendance Saturday to watch the Bulldogs roll the Missouri TIgers 34-0. It was a proud moment as a UGA fan. It will be even prouder if I get a letter of acceptance into the law school. FIngers crossed.

Rooting for you!!! As a Missouri native -- I don't share your sentiment on the game though!JerryLundegard wrote:Was in attendance Saturday to watch the Bulldogs roll the Missouri TIgers 34-0. Navy, being from Missouri what is your interest in UGA? Just curious so don't feel obligated to answer!

I am orginally from Missouri but have been a nomad for 20 years (lived in Hawaii, Seattle, Chicago, Italy, Iraq, and Virginia and traveled extensively throughout the US and 23 countries) -- I have no locational ties anywhere -- and I have always loved Georgia.jepper wrote:Navy, being from Missouri what is your interest in UGA? Location isn't really that important to me -- I just want to go to a school that I am comfortable at and that will provide an intellectually stimulating experience! Ultimately I am going to narrow my list of schools down to 5 and visit them all -- the one I get the best vibe from will be the one I attend.

Very cool. Well from the looks of it, you already have some pretty good opportunities. Best of luck to you.navykev wrote:I am orginally from Missouri but have been a nomad for 20 years (lived in Hawaii, Seattle, Chicago, Italy, Iraq, and Virginia and traveled extensively) -- I have no locational ties anywhere -- and I have always loved Atlanta.jepper wrote:Navy, being from Missouri what is your interest in UGA? Just to clarify....your CAS info that says "transcript received" and "processed", those both update at the same time, right? It won't actually tell you when its received and then again update it when it has been processed...at least thats the way I understood it from LSAC.

Checking in. UGA is BY FAR my top choice. I've been in the working world for a bit now and, as a UGA alum and a debt averse person, it makes the most sense. Also, who could argue with another three years in Athens?
However, I still need to hear back on my September LSAT. Unfortunately, when you look at UGA on LSN, it's pretty straight forward: 163+ on the LSAT? You're probably good to go. Above a 3.7 GPA but between a 158 and a 162? You look to be in good shape.
I'll be honest with myself and say that I expect to fall in the dreaded "no man's land", wherein I'm slightly below that 163 median and below the 3.7 (sitting just shy of a 3.6). Here is to hoping that significant and substantive work experience, coupled with overcoming some severe challenges since graduating, helps my case.
If I get in to UGA, I'm sending in my deposit and immediately closing down my app cycle.

Checking in from Arizona. 3.3 163
I visited the campus two years ago and I was very impressed. UGA is definitely a top choice for me.

So how's the time frame looking? When will I be able to check status using the status checker? Right now its saying the log in is invalid so I'm guessing it hasn't processed yet.

Anybody know when they let us know about scholarship info. I was accepted about two weeks ago, but haven't heard about any scholarships awards yet.

The person I spoke with in admissions said they would get together in mid November to discuss scholarship info pertaining to those already admitted and would send stuff out in December.calvinwidget wrote:Anybody know when they let us know about scholarship info.
